My tongues is not very long so for example if I tried to relax it but stick it out of my mouth, I can't stick it that far out... Could that make this difficult to produce this sound because I can't bend it over and touch the roof of my palette without actually tucking it deep in the back of my mouth...? I have just come back from my second 8 months spent in Colombia 🇨🇴❤️ and I love languages and excel very fast in them (never a class in Spanish) but my intermediate French helps me a lot as it is so similar to Spanish.... But I still can't produce this sound. 🤭😞 Que pena! Gracias por tu consultita. 😊☀️

Hola Philip. You don’t need to stick it out of your mouth, if you do that you’ll be releasing so much air and therefore you won’t be able to make the vibrations we’re looking for.
Lensiax You got the soft R. As for the strong one, if you feel that sounds like the “TH” then you probably are not pushing your tongue against the upper teeth. Put the tongue behind your upper teeth, then flap it and that’s when you need to allow the air to come through. Try this combination “Pe” + “run in English without the “n” sound”, it’s a way to begin but definitely it’ll sound better than a “TH”. Or just try to imitate the sound a child would make while playing with motorcycles. I hope it helps. Keep me updated 😉
