Hmm so thats what ive got to look 4ward to. 10 times harder work than cutting lawns.. rapidly becoming the most sort after hedger in my area.. but im too cheap..30 to 40 euro an hr simply dont cut the mustard on big jobs. The 283cm longreach hl94ce is hard on the back..i prefer to use the stepladders all over that hedge you just did with a 24 or 30 inch standard trimmer, Get a real nice finish but no wonder im dead im running up and sown the ladder moving it everywhere hanging off it in every direction .. must learn to use my hl94 with more confidence..i only use it to trimm the top back that i cant reach. Really love your tripod .. thinkin its a 10ft henchman

@@jasongardener3425 good to know. sometimes, despite working very hard to a good standard and as quickly as possible, it doesn't seem like the end result justifies having taken as long as it did and I feel anxious of the customers response to how much they owe me! Do you ever feel like this or have you ever had a customer like that?

Looks good! I would stay up top till I was done, too. More effective use of time. About that gully....could you trim the top down to meet the bottom of the gully, or is the gully actually a split in the hedge? Just curious...
@jasongardener34255 жыл бұрын
Hi, Lisa, the gully is where the hedge has been reduced at some point and the woody centre is a lot lower, so I'm trimmed all the way down it, but the greenery is not very deep, sorry not easy to exsplan in text. Hope all good your way 👍👍👍

Nice job but shouldn’t be cutting hedges at this time of year due to nesting birds. If you disturb a nest which I’m sure you must have done in a hedge that size, it’s a £2500 pound fine. In my opinion anybody who cuts hedges in nesting season is a cowboy !
@jasongardener34255 жыл бұрын
I survived the hedge the best I could, as I always do, but I ask the customer to watch the hedge for a week or so before I come, to see if birds are nesting, and listen. But you are right, you have to be very careful. Think last year, I had to postpone quit a few hedges and rebook a month or so later. 👍

I have 1,000 feet of Leyland hedges and I'm getting old at 73. I build a box out of 2x6's with a pallet on top and plywood over the pallet and bolted it to my tractor bucket. I lift it into place and use a ladder to get into the bucket when I'l alone. When I have a helper - he stays in the bucket and I move the tractor along. I'm to old to work on top of the hedge, but good on you.
