How To Troubleshoot a LG TV Content Store/App Update Issue

Thanks for this. Tried everything and looked at numerous videos but this one is the first suggesting connection to mobile hotspot. Worked brilliantly. Why on earth dont lg be upfront about these issues and provide solutions. TVs aren’t cheap and the service from them is non existent.

Your recommendation worked for me! I was getting pretty frustrated, but you saved the day. BTW, I do not even use the Wi-Fi or wired ethernet port for internet on my LG TV. I use an ethernet to USB adapter and bring it in via the USB port. The network card in tvs limit the speed to 100 mbs even though my ISP is 940 mbs. I added a speed test app to my LG tv and was getting 50 to 80 with a wired connection. Going thru the USB port, it jumped to 250 to 300 mbs. This seems to only work with Sony and LG. Cannot get it to work on my 2017 Samsung TVs. If your paid internet speed 1s 100 or less mbs, no need to try this.

I worked with LG and Netflix both were not sure. i just logged into my personal hotspot and was able to download and update to the LG TV. Man oh man.. there is definately a problem between the LG software and the internet providers. Thanks for your help your the best.

Good info. I just spent hours troubleshooting my LG TV. There are a handful of things that I needed to do including this to get it to work. It was a wash rinse repeat method until it worked. Won't buy any more LG products.
