It's really weird that you didn't even desolder the switch to clean it inside. It's far better to open it and clean it inside with IPA instead of this funny sliding switch on and off to clean it.

I was wondering why he didn’t do that too.

Hey I am only getting 2,8v (sometimes 2,7v) with using new batteries. Could this be a problem?

@@totalfix877 thanks, i did spotted the right thing ^^ ! One last question, you bought the clamps separatly ? None of the battery holders sold have them attached to the wires...
@totalfix8772 жыл бұрын
@@neurocamelot8893 Yeah I just bought some alligator clips from Amazon. They should be fairly cheap.

Where did you learn to do all of this?

Hah, funny story. I actually got into fixing electronics when I was curious how my son's toy broke. I didnt manage to fix it, but I removed a bunch of the PCB to see how all the traces were connected and working. Long story short, for this particular system, I just purchased a broken lot from eBay and started troubleshooting one at a time and taking notes in my journal. I'm not by any means an expert, I just enjoy fixing consoles as a hobby 😅

Yeah, it’s one of the worse ones I’ve seen in a while. I was able to clean most of it recently, but it definitely takes a good while

Any ideas on why my gba reboots itself after a few minutes playing with it? i just installed a highpeedo V5 ips screen and replaced the power inductor cause the one it had looked really bad, i wonder if that has something to do with the problem.
@totalfix8777 ай бұрын
I am not too familiar with the highpeedo V5 IPS Screen. In regards to the restart, Im curious if the capacitors are holding the proper charge or if theyre just old. This is a common issue I see with older GBA models and I replace them...however, I am not saying this is the case for your system.

@@totalfix877 i will replace them and see if that solves the problem, otherwise idk what else can it be, it all looks ok to me 🤔

@@billcipher1204 It was the battery terminals, had corrosion on so it wasnt making good contact. Took me a while to figured it out

Why not just make a jumper.
@totalfix877 Жыл бұрын
Normally I do use a jumper, but only during testing since it's quick and easy before ordering a fuse.
@masterball2928 Жыл бұрын
Sometimes I'm just shorting the fuse when its busted. Its not permanent but it helps when you want to play your games
