My aunt always does Tunisian and I could never figure out how she did it. When I wanted to learn it was darn near impossible to find an afghan hook or instructions. I'm glad it seems to be coming back in style:-) Thank you so much for these tutorials!

Mikey, I have been teaching myself how to Tunisian Crochet, and have learned from your videos how to turn my work, finish off and doing double crochets. But I am looking for some more videos on adding the Picot Stitch "into" the middle of my work, and changing colours in the middle of the pattern to make certain images "pop out" in another colour. If you can video tutorial these it would be great!! Can't find them anywhere! Keep up the great videos!

The Denise Crochet Hooks come with extensions up to 40" that can be attached to the end of the hook. I find mine very easy to work with on large projects. If you want to do a lot of this they are worth the investment.

you can do it in strips or you can get a tunisian hook with a cable on it. this will hold a lot more stitches but you can get a lot of stitches on one of those hooks. it will depend on the yarn you are using but I've had 200+ on a "normal" tunisian hook (I tend to use the denise crochet system for my tunisiah hooks)

I am wanting to make an afghan. Would you suggest making blocks and then stitch them together? I'm new to this :). I love your teaching. Very easy to follow!

has anyone tried this using double strands of yarn? I really want to try this and need something that works up quickly

Mikey, how do you go about making an entire afghan since the hook can only hold so many stitches? Do you have to make blocks then whip stitch together? Please email me or answer here! Thanks

The crochet stitch that looks like a knit stitch is called a Waistcoat Stitch....

The parts of the stitch are not "strings" but "legs" - then you can say "front" or "back" legs of the stitch.
