How to Turn a Lampshade Into a Hanging Lamp

In this tutorial I'll show you how to turn a plain old lampshade into an easy hanging lamp. This is really easy to do if you find yourself with an extra lampshade. Just MAKE SURE that you read the directions on your bottle lamp kit very well. The two wires go on different sides and you want to make sure you get the right wire on the right screw or it won't work.
My lampshade was white, so I did the dusty black horse design with the chalk ink, but you could also opt for something more colorful if you prefer.
MATERIALS USED:
Plain Lampshade
Black chalk Ink Pad (amzn.to/2Wuuaxd)
Rubber Stamps (I used the 2004 Bareback set from Stampin' Up)
A small, hard surface
Bottle lamp kit (amzn.to/2UX23WK)
Flathead screwdriver (some also take philips)
Glue that will bond metal (Power-tac: amzn.to/2ixOyvy)
Please use common sense when working with electricity.

Where could a get the metal disk to balance the lamp shade ??

Any place that sells lamps should probably have them. Even someplace like Lowes might.

Is there a kit which provides 2-bulb sockets?

There might be, I'm not sure. I don't remember seeing one in my local hardware store, but I'm in a small town. Best thing would be to check your local hardware store and see if they have a double.

why don't you put the cord thru the center of the pieces so it hangs straight and you don't have to mess around with glue?

The hole for the cord to attach to the socket in the side of the socket, so it wouldn't be able to go through the pieces ad still attach to through the hole. The pieces aren't actually meant to be used the way I'm using them. They're actually meant turning a bottle into a lamp and would cover the cord from the bottom. But since I was making a hanging lamp here, I was using them to keep the bulb away from the top of the lamp. So I had to run the cord along side them in order to reach the side hole in the socket properly.
