I’ve already went and subbed. I wish the knowledge both of you have about handmade bath and body products. I love making my own creations ( btw great oil choices) and I’ve seen the name while doing research but I could’ve definitely gotten it confused with the other names. I really want to make this ,I think it would be so moisturizing and as I get older the more moisture my body craves. I recommend Dauphine Organics out of Connecticut in the US for Lumerol K5229. Mine just arrived today and i just whipped some up. My recipe is using 40% lumerol to hopefully save some money. I did put it in a foaming soap dispenser. Will follow up with my thoughts.

Hey Tara👋 Question. I was watching another formulater using lumorol. She tested the ph when mixed with water. It's final pH was 7. My question is is there a solubilizer that mixes small amounts of water in oil? I want to see if the pH can be lowered by mixing in citric acid or lactic acid?

Anhydrous products don’t have a pH. So you don’t need to worry about lowering the pH of any anhydrous products. This is an anhydrous products. Anhydrous mean, only contains oil soluble ingredients. Mixing a smaller amount of water into oil is called a water in oil emulsion and they are a bit more advanced than the “normal” oil in water emulsions that we typically make. The difference is that water in oil emulsions are made with low HLB emulsifiers. I don’t know too much about making water in oil emulsions as I need more experience with them, but I have made one on my channel before - kzbin.info/www/bejne/f3WkZWZ_fZl_abc

No, this is a one or a kind unique ingredient that doesn’t work like any other ingredient out there. Lumorol is the only option I know of to make oil lather.

I’m not sure why we can’t get it here. It’s not illegal. I think it’s just hard for small crafters to source it. Traditional oil cleansers aren’t made with lathering bubbly surfactants. I have a video on an oil cleanser - kzbin.info/www/bejne/f3WkZWZ_fZl_abc The surfactants in that are emulsifiers so they create a milky lather instead of a bubbly one. This could work as a face wash though. I would do less lumorol, maybe try it at 35%. You don’t need as much lather in a face wash.
