@@waynegoldpig2220 I don’t know about that, mine tumbled in sport mode using the motion control and head tracking. Identical to what has been happening to others. DJI says my quad was was turning left and descending but yet the controller inputs said it was tilted up and to the right. But yet the crash was my fault. Really DJI aircraft was turning left and descending but yet the control tilted right and back. That right there should say something was wrong. But nooooo. I’m feeling very vengeful against DJI right now as there was nothing I did wrong WTF. I don’t have thousands of followers or subscribers. So they don’t fear me. Then you got thes bubble headed you tubers that still promote it and back track the issues they have, just because they want favor of DJI. One which I know crashed his Avata but he thinks he’s to experienced and probably embarrassed. DJI him another avata and discounted him another. But he ain’t telling that story. Continuing to promote the avata to the masses. By doing this he secures his dji nobility while causing sadness to some of his viewers/victims. Welcome all to the dji care refresh scam,

@@myfalconry76 Me and all my mates have crashed our Avatas. That's what they're there for: To fly riskier than you would with a mavic, and survive the impact. None of us cried when we bounced them off walls and trees. I don't know why everybody is crying when they yaw spin and flip them onto soft grass. I especially have no sympathy for those who yaw spin over water. In fact I'm glad they lose them in the sea. None of my friends, nor me, have ever experienced any of these problems in either normal, sport, or manual. Our crashes have been our own fault, and we own our mistakes.

Very good on the splicing of the wires. As a ham radio operator and a retired telecom guy I would have done the same and simplified the whole install process without dismantling the whole drone, makes a lot more sense to me. I also really like the air field for fixed wing flying. I do both, so I really like your flying spot. Well done, thumbs up ! Cheers.

Yeah sent mine back on Saturday for replacement after they agreed to do it when they watched my video of it happening at not very fast speeds. I had been mostly chilled out manual flying since I got it mid September but decided to put it to the test with mild yaw spins and it carked it.

Definitely more punch 👊 Like you're fancy power cable to the goggles. I've got my battery stuck on with velcro to the leather bit on the back of the goggle strap. No cable in the way then.

I know this is extreme, but I’m getting the whole body done in carbon fiber to reduce weight and have a bit more fun with it. At the the end of the day, it’s not a freestyle drone, but it’s durable and that’s what I like most about it. Let’s see how it handles with the carbon fiber body and guards.

Be aware that this mod only increases thrust in manual mode. The Avata tilt angle is limited in N and S modes, limiting its speed with the new motors to that of with the standard ones.

@@andykirby You and your fellow KOL's should have made that very clear from the start. Also, I know a few people who encountered difficulties performing this procedure that would have been ameliorated with a bit of forewarning. But if you (youtube grifters in general) had let people know in advance of these two issues, then Axis would have sold fewer motors, and you wouldn't get their stuff sent to you early and for free in future.

I think you'll find if you watch the video I did give plenty of info regarding this mod. More than many actually. I received 90 USD worth of motors from Axis that hardly covers my time to make a video like this. I do most of this for the love.. and so people don't have to waste their own money before seeing something tested in the real world...

Yeah my advice would be don't mess about with it. Wait until the O3 air unit comes out and maybe do a DIY build that you can use your goggles with. The Avata is a great cinewoop, I love the camera.

So what really gets me about this is that the Avata was originally rated to a supposed 60mph max stock. I've never been able to get out of 45mph. Been tweaking and tweaking until I found these motors. Needless to say im on the preorder list currently.

Hell, I take chances with mine constantly. Crashed and crashed. Turtle up and crash again. Best part is RTH. Thought it was gone for good. Packed up headed in the last known direction. Then. Like a miracle. It's hovering directly above me at 90'. Now that's a bad ass machine! It's part of the game. If you gonna be in the game. You gotta pay to play!

Has anyone measured the actual DJI motors for their KvA specification. Reason I ask is sounds like a good idea to change motors BUT what about the ESC's ? if their amperage specification is exceeded they will burn out. DJI of course know these answers and build accordingly.

I would presume axis tested the original motors and then wound a motor to be a bit hotter. There will always be a bit of headroom on the ESC and batteries. It's like tuning everything, it will be a compromise, the controller and battery will be slightly more stressed.

Perhaps the yaw issue is better at the max speed of the standard motors? Wonder how much faster it went now. The standard motors should do 60mph according to specs.

I wish he would have put the goggle view were we could see the numbers, with out the numbers it’s basically just talk. How are we supposed to know if he was just flying slower in the previous video. We can’t see speed, voltage output transmission. Nothing! Just a guy talking and flying a drone. Could have edited it even and sped it up. We don’t know. How do we know he don’t have investments or was offer products to do a talk up the product. Without the numbers it could be anything. I trust no one I wants data to back it up. Not being a jerk just saying I would like to see some numbers.

Axis flying sent them to me for review. There was no import duty when they came via DHL. They probably will end up in the UK retailers eventually.

Great video I must admit and with the upgraded motors it makes a Hugh difference, not bought one of these as of yet, I’m sure within the next year there maybe an upgraded model hopefully. I don’t know if your actually aware but the Avata does do 60MHP but it much be in full manual mode with zero sensors turned on. I should think though the upgraded motors you have travelling quicker that that maybe, hard to tell. The turtle flip mode with the avata is defo a awesomeness feature. Thanks.

Lmfao 🤣 Nope... The people that think that are just bitter 🤡 that don't know how to solder (so easy) or do basic programming in betaflight (step by step guides on KZbin). They think they actually have one up on us now and try to go around bragging that they can fpv now and don't need to learn soldering or anything...unless they want better motors now. 😂 Meanwhile we are still laughing at them. 😂 For half the price someone would spend on this I have three quads. With the same battery life, gps, RTH, can carry a GoPro, I can fix it in 10 minutes, doesn't crash for no reason. I could buy or build another quad for the price of the replacement fee on one of these Avatas. 😂 I'm not a DJI hater, but comments like yours make me laugh. Edit: Almost like the McDonald's mountain biking you're doing. 😂

🤷 So everyone else that's done this upgrade has focused on and talked about how it's improved handling. You're the first one to say it turns it into a "missile". Is it faster, or just a missile compared to what you've experienced... You've supplied no data. In the car world we would call this using the "butt dyno"... Which is never accurate.
