hey mate i've just come back here 12 hours after watching the video after breaking 100 the first time i've ever commited to my local 18. thank you so much, i have everything down really well for a rookie except driving and this video really helped me put some nice straight drives down today. Even got my first ever birdie on a Par 3. before this i would write a huge list of contrasting tips from different youtubers and get overwhelmed at the course but you do really well to teach things so they all come together instead of being seperate steps. sorry for the paragraph but had to come back and say cheers so happy with my round today. 97 xD, not bad for a set of clubs i picked up at the local rubbish dump shop

As a complete golf geek and numbers guy. I enjoyed watching the spin rates drop with the driver (and carry distance increase) as you moved the ball forward and more forward as you inadvertently reduced the spin loft window too. Neat. Conversely, when you did it with the 7iron you lost carry distance incrementally. Very cool.

I’m 6”4’ and I love golf but I also play baseball so naturally I have that motion to swing up on the ball and swing level but just recently got 1” longer clubs and I’ve noticed sometimes I line drive the ball and sometimes it’s perfect. But the way you showed in your video I already stand behind the ball on my driver and the ball is at my toe with my 7 iron any ideas? And yes I’m buying one of those to track my swing pattern. Keep up the good work and Golf on Homie 🤙🏼

A line drive? Sounds like a stinger, a good shot to have in your arsenal. Tiger uses it a lot. Or your hitting the ball with the bottom edge of the clubhead (thin). That's not a preferred shot.

2 or 3 of 10 of mine are 200 yard slices... 2 or 3 are hooks of similar range... one or two are draws out to 250... sometimes i top them and they go low and 200ish... and one or two are dead straight and 300 yards.... i just started playing a month ago... im using an old aluminum driver i found in my garage when i moved in... its at least 20 years old... "The Rippa" 320cc head 9.0 degree loft, intermediate flex shaft tho things i noticed while trying to learn is... when i bring my driver straight back and it feels like its poointing at the sky when im wound up is a lot better than twisting like a baseball swing like over the shoulder... and two.. narrow my stance... i was slicing or just plain missing when i very first started... ive been to the range three times now and get better each time... but im still really wild with my aim/control... i am getting some private lessons next month and some new clubs this week in the mail... so hopefully ill get it all figured out shortly. your videos help a lot but its hard to really know what im doing wrong just by feel...

Couple things I learned is to try to put your weight on the inside of your left foot if you’re a righty and opposite for lefty if that makes sense. Also flicking your wrists too much on your downswing could also a high ball.when you tee it up make sure about 1/3 of the ball is above your driver head. Hope that helps

Love to see a shot from above to see your feet position to the ball. I struggle with the slice but not all the time , very frustrating. Haven’t broke 80 yet but because of the inconsistency from the tee I score low 80’s to high 90’s. Also what ball would you recommend, I love the pro v1 and chrome soft but lose to many to keep buying them . Any advice 🤞🏻

I sliced the ball for 20 years. Good drives would be 180-220 yards because of how bad the slice killed distance. Everyone always had me thinking it was my swing path. I fixed it this year and it was one small thing that I had to do. I started to bow my wrist on the downswing. All summer I have been hitting it dead straight 225-260 yards. I'm wondering if I still have an incorrect swing path, because I should probably be hitting it closer to 300.
