Best advice I can give: ppl always think it’s ur booty muscles that do the work but that’s not it! It’s good to exercise the booty for sure, bc the bigger those muscles are the more meat u have back there to jiggle n wiggle… BUT! (no pun intended 😅🤣) when twerking, the muscles you work is legs, back, etc… the BOOTY needs to be relaxed completely. If u tense up those booty muscles u will not get the jiggle effect that is signature to a good twerk. Relax that booty all the way n just let ur booty meat bounce and jiggle to the beat n the movement while the rest of ur body does the work. I’m a white girl w a average bum, not big per se but blessed to not be small at all. We gotta WERK w what we got, n trust me if u got anything at all back there, if u just let it relax while u pop ur back n shake ur legs, u will feel the booty shakin. When u feel that jello jiggle that’s when u know the booty is werkin. From there just practice different types of moves and positions to find which ones are easiest for u and which ones give u the biggest booty quakes, then bounce n shake n clap them cheeks to the beat n ur good to go 👌 good luck sis u got this 😘
@Mojojojo857572 жыл бұрын
Oh n I forgot to add too, it doesn’t take a lot of strenuous movement to get it shakin… honestly just the slightest side to side can get the booty swayin… relax the booty completely and just side to side til u feel them cheeks jiggle , that’s the 🔑💯 even at 67 u don’t gotta pop a hip to make it move just relax and find the rhythm and moves that gives u the most wiggle. I don’t twerk in public but I do booty exercises and practiced throwin it back til I became a pro like girls in the videos and I can tell u my man was 😱 when I hit him w that secret skill … he kept asking y and how do I know how to do that 🤣🤣🤣 and all the practice when I was trying TOO HARD I never could quite get it until I learned to just relax them cheeks. THAT is the secret 🤫 booty exercise for bigger muscles, healthy diet w healthy fats for more booty meat, and RELAX 👏THEM 👏CHEEKS 👏

I'm from New Orleans and we may have popularized twerking but was basically doing the same dance different name since the late 80s . However, Jamaican girls been doing a version of the same dance for longer. It's my opinion that it originally hails from Africa and got passed down through generations to people of Africa decent. Also,to me Jamaicans have the closest dance style to the motherland.and I could watch them dance 24/7.

1) the skin is giving life. We need this routine. You know diet plays a huge part 2) there is no debate. The word twerk is black American. The dance is pretty much universal among black ppl just different variations based on where you're from. 🤷🏾♀️
@josweetlove15373 жыл бұрын
Vayoha02 the dance was created in Jamaica during the dance hall era as "dutty wine". It was not created by African Americans and as far as I know when Miley Cyrus the white girl started doing it is when she and America called it "twerking". Sean Paul the Jamaican reggae artist had lots of girls doing it in his videos.
@vayoha023 жыл бұрын
@@josweetlove1537, reread my statement. The word "twerk" we've BEEN saying it! Since the 90s really in the south. The Africans will probably disagree with you! They have a variation of this dance also. Truth be told, strippers were already dancing like. Thanks to the rappers, they introduce it to the world. No body looks to Miley Cyrus about on what's poppin.🙄

@@vayoha02 well I never saw an American "twerking" until Miley Cyrus neither was it popular, so you all 'gave away a dance move". In the Caribbean, we learn to "wine" from baby....we just hear music and yeah the Africans have their version but the "dutty wine" as created by the Jamaicans was totally new. Ask Sean Paul. The dancehall era was in and it was all over the Caribbean. Nobody never heard the word "twerk" until Cyrus. You all have moves you all created,leave this one to our Jamaican people.
@vayoha023 жыл бұрын
@@josweetlove1537, 😂😂 my mom is from the Caribbean so I know what whining is. The dutty wine is NOT twerking. Turning your neck 360 degrees is not twerking. I live in America so I'm PRETTY sure I know when I heard it and saw it. Every else in the world, you all don't know anything about America until someone white presents it to you all. If that's the case the Somalia's been doing the "dutty wine" before you all!
@josweetlove15373 жыл бұрын
@@vayoha02 was not about just turning your neck hun. Look at Sean Paul's early videos. It was a lot more than that...the wining of the batty, the acrobat moves, on the dancehall ground that was not American. Our parties in T&T with the young people was "dutty wine" and "skin out" things that you all were not doing. You had strippers on a pole we Caribbeans had the "dutty wine" by our Jamaican brethren. Beautiful, thank you great video. I admire your graceful style. So classy. I try it years ago to much for my stiff back at 70. I say Jamming Jamaica have this same dance from moves their African ancestors . Yes this is very similar to what my mother did in her dance routine in the 1940’s in USA . But it was from my grandparents African ancestors they did it in the 1920’s. It’s perhaps just an culture dance.doesn’t matter like she said her Jamaica version is classic. That melanin rocking.
