Thanks for this! I had Telex installed by default when I activated Vietnamese input, but every site I found before I stumbled on this video said that "the" Vietnamese keyboard used the number keys for the diacritics, and I was confused af and thought it was broken. Good to know that A) it's working and B) my default system uses all letter keys, which will make it easier to type than VNI in my opinion. Literally all I needed to see was the table you have on the screen, and now I'm golden! Thanks! lol

Nice Video. I used Telex for a while and then recently switched to VNI. I like VNI better because I can also type english words without creating Vietnamese accents like happens with Telex. Only problem I have is that VNI sometimes deletes a word when I type the space bar. So, for example, I type Toi61 for Tối But when I press space bar, sometimes the word disappears and I have to retype it. I have a mac. Have you ever seen that problem?

I reccomend ya'll using the telex keyboard because it's the most common type, it also should be easier to use.

this vidoe is superb!I have a question that i'm struggling with all day long though.Please be my saivor... in sourthern accent, i hear e^(I can't type vietnamese) often sound with the 'uh' sound.(not eh sound) and i see this happens "conditionally".I'm dying for a hero hwo can teach me what the rule is .........................................................................................................based on my research, when e^ is followed by the ending consonants [t, ch, n, nh, ng], it is pronounced as 'uh' ...........................................................here's for reference [te^n tie^n(rising tone) he^t(rising tone) lie^n be^n(rising tone)] ...........................................................................................you can see yourself pronounce te^n with the uh sound in this video at 2:28.kzbin.info/www/bejne/o5zYg2RjirKHrrM .............................................................................so, am i right about the fact that e^ is pronounced like uh when it's followed by t, ch, n, nh, ng?? and what's more other than those 5 that make e^ an 'uh' sound?

Huyền means the low-falling tone :) it is just the name :)
