I second that torts become picky. My tort is 2 months old and will only eat grass when they are outside. Their enclosure has grass growing in it, but they refuse to eat it.

3:00 sadly yes that's true unfortunity last month I had a small sulcata tortoise that passed away that way :( a heart breaking lesson I learned the hard way... and had it for 5 years too...

Shadow’s Reptiles okay. I’ve heard people do it with younger leopard geckos because it’s said to cause more stress when they go from pitch black to bright light. I wasn’t sure. Thanks for the response!

Well leopard geckos are a different animal they’re nocturnal and that makes a lot of sense for them but not for tortoises.
