I did a similar thing with the magic bolts with timers, the pink ones. There I was just firing a wand that phooted out magic bolts that kept firing more of themselves, and suddenly the gods are impressed.

I put concentrated light on a always cast chain spell wand and got it. It was really powerful but I died at the beginning of the hissi base, not entirely sure how. I think I damaged but not quite exploded a propane tank off screen which then flew into a snow bank burying itself. I then was standing on the snowball when it finally decided to explode and the freezing vapor quickly took care of whatever health was left after the explosion.

Fun fact: there are two Orbs of True Knowledge that are unobtainable without a cheat menu: 1. Contains Destruction, don't remember its flavor text 2. Contains (why it contains this, I don't know) SPARK BOLT, flavor text is (of course) "This secret shouldn't have been available to you".

They *are* unlocked from the High Alchemist, however, some of the unlocks were buggy on and off after 1.0, so a lot of people managed to "unlock" things for free. That all should be fixed now though, so new people are going to have to actually unlock everything >:)

I got the Leggy Mutation in Hiisi Base by accident. I threw a flask of Chaotic Poly and it turned a shotgun guy or one of the jetpack dudes into a leggy mimic. Killed it, got the perk. I assumed that it would be available afterward as a perk in the holy mountain on occasion, but I guess not.

Knowing this game, they would try to kill you, but... A new very rare spawn in the mines or on the surface: a cottage like the one you can spawn with another noita inside. They are friendly, as long as you don’t attack, and if you bring them different items, they might reward you with decent wands or even perks. But if you do attack, they will fight back, having a ton of powerful perks active on themselves and up to four very powerful wands.

I thought the new mimic was an urn. Mostly they are made of rock, but some purple ones are made of plastic and take damage (numbers). I think they also drop gold.

They take damage because they can break and release spiders, water and gunpowder, so they technically have HP, but, no, the mimic is the Heart Mimic.

Huh, for some reason I have "the Gods are impressed" and "Enraged", while not having any lifetime reduction spells and didn't notice Scodes (?) was different from steve. (and by the way I got "Impressed" before "Enraged") And I haven't beaten the boss yet... I got them in a very lucky run with explosion & melee immunity, along with, contact damage, so it was very easy to kill the Steve and Scodes. And then the run ended cuz I forgot to finish editing the wands before exiting the vault mountain, and got ambushed by loads of enemies :(

there are spells that secretly modify lifetime: ping-pong path, orbiting arc, and spiral arc increase lifetime. phasing, and chain-spell decrease it.

@@FuryForged I noticed that the wiki treechievements guide doesn't seem to have all of them at the current moment. The main differences I've seen are due to the two friend quests and beating the buffed friend (which you've already talked about). I don't know if there are other new ones. Also, the monk statue one is basically the last one I have left, and it has been driving me crazy. It feels like playing that "Getting over it" game. Except worse, because occasionally the statue gets stuck in you and that just forces the enemies to spawn. And you only have 3 tries on any given run, if you're lucky enough to find a kuu at all. Do you have any tips for that?

The super-rare enemies count for extra progress: Heart Mimic and an ultra-rare variant of the Hiisi Sniper that spawns on only one day of the year - 8/24 (Team Fortress day...)

The quest in Noita are mainly difficult by how much you need to move around the map. They require you to be all over the place. The only thing where taking damage is important is the Achievement pillar for beating the game hitless

I know I can just use a seed, but can you use chaotic polymorphine to get the heart mimic? I've been farming infinite creatures with projectile transmutation field and circle of unstable metamorphosis. I managed to get the gordon hiisi but out of possibly hundreds of polymorphs I have not seen a single heart mimic.

Unfortunately, no. The heart mimic can ONLY spawn inside chests. It’s more of a super-rare Easter egg.

Really late to answer, but material spells like Water act as a modifier if before a projectile. It causes the projectile to apply the debuff of that material. In this case, it causes the enemy to be wet, making the crit work.

Do I have the destruction spell unlocked? I created the sun/dark sun, got the omega black hole, and even got the golden crown. I'm grinding in hell infinitely until I can spot it but it seems to be so rare.

Destruction is unlocked after completing one of the moon secrets (the easiest one being taking the essences to the moon.) If you have already created the sun, then you'll have to move it out of the way in order to complete a moon secret now. The easiest way to do that is a combination of fast black holes and the kuu or music stone.

Yeah, they really like to stay there. Once you get them rocking back and forth, it becomes easier to eventually break the gravitational pull the moon has on them.

(for reference, the latest I got is 8, which is the hell orb.) maybe I just need to find that one again to trigger the achievement. the files don't really tell you which orb they match with on their own, just the time you got them and "why are you looking here".
