How To Unlock Crackles and Pops On Your Focus SE!!!

Here’s a quick trick a friend of mine showed me. 80% of the time it will make some pretty loud pops. Exhaust set up is a muffler and single resonator delete

Transmission has been fixed not by Ford but by car enthusiasts. Here is how to fix the transmission problem. The ground cable on top of the battery you need to use 150 grit paper and sand the paint off and then add an anti corrosion gel/glue and rub around the exposed metal so it doesn’t rust. Then put it back together and the system computer will reset and the 3 extra motors inside the automatic transmission should now have enough power to work properly the problem with the transmission is the lack of power and the fact that the little motors inside the transmission are not working correctly. This is not an issue with the Manual transmission focuses because they don’t have those small motors. YOUR WELCOME YOUR CAR WILL RUN BETTER AND NO MORE STUDDER AND JERKING .

Its not a tranny issue, its an issue with a battery cable being painted over and not allowing proper voltage to go to the TCU resulting in slipping gears or a malfunctioning transmission.

Nice one, I now have pops and crackles on my 2.0 duratec powered focus. 😊 Also you can do the 'lowering' suspension mod real simply, just rev the engine to 2,500rpm, while hazard lights are on, now flash your main beam 6 times and honk your horn 3 times. You should feel your car lower by 30mm! If it doesn't work first go, try turning your blower fan to position 2 helps, if still no joy, lowering the front windows half way while squirting your windscreen washers sometimes activates the mod....😁👍

Hey Jason, there is now a fix. I’m going to tell you how to fix it no thanks to Ford…. But anyways enough about them. Here what you will need to do. There is a ground nut or cable on top of the battery.. it’s the only one that you see it’s attached like a big nipple.. you need to remove your positive connection then the negative ground connection is the one we’re going to be working on. When you get the negative connection off you will notice the paint around the nut. Buy 150 sand grip paper. And sand off the paint. Then you will need a electrical Gel u can ask ur local autozone for it.. that will need to be applied to the exposed part that you sanded off so that it does not rust over time. Then you connect your negative and positive cables together and that should reset the computer module as well. The problem Ford did was not the transmission it was the idiot who had the idea to paint the ground cable area knowing the auto transmission runs on 3 small motors and if not given the sufficient power it will cause studdering, jerking, and rough idles, as well as Transmission slips. I hope this helps you and everyone having this issue. And again Ford did not fix this…. CAR ENTHUSIASTS DID.

@@astrxfps3909 it just makes it louder, the computer won't engage the drive gear until it likes the rpm it's at, something about the fuel map is different between neutral and drive, so rev it up in neutral and with your foot still on the brake pop it into drive. It'll make your exhaust gurgle and pop

I have a 2012 SE with the Sport DCT and a rear muffler delete. I have two options for getting some crackles and pops. 1: Put it in sport and drop gears till RPM is around 3k, then take foot off gas and start slightly taping the throttle, while the car is slowing itself down. Pops and bangs, inbound. This is great when on the highway or freeway. 2: If you come to a stop just hold the brake at least half way down (in Drive) and start hammering the throttle. It takes some practice, but its much easier when the exhaust is warm. Please note: Since its the DCT trans, it will limit RPMs to 3500. This is essentially the same thing as in the video. (poor man's launch control :P) I promise it is not "neutral popping". Its not the same thing. The car wont let you damage the trans.

@@zuon.3385 Oh yah, totally worth it. I still have the cat and, I believe, one resonator. Depending on your state, most mechanics won't fail the inspection. Personally I was still worried about it, so I used one of those flat clamps. So if I had to throw the old muffler back on, I could do it with ease. Feel free to check the videos on my channel. ( I should also note that I toke the air box lid off. Got a bit more intake sounds. :P )

You don't find the need to clean the air filter. I've owned the car for 2 years and have only needed to replace the filter, once. 70k to 130k miles on the odometer.

I got 2015 ford focus its a peace of shit I had to buy clutch it was $478.00 it cost me $1648.84 dollers to fix plus it has another $1767.00 dollars to fix front cover leaking, top motor mount is collapedit said this can cause a rough vibrational idle or when in forward and reverse, and it hasa coolant reservoir is cracked, cracked coolant hose is reverse , coolant reservoir is cracked, cracked coolant hose is present from engine to coolant reservoir this hose plus it has a rear main seal is leaking.. and I just found out that my mom paid the car off to can I still sue because they sold me a lemon at Paul Blanco car dealership this is the worst fucken car in the world I rather should of fixed my pinto instead of this shit of a car.. anyone know a good lawyer???‽?
