Just so you know, your FPS will dip below 10 FPS when you attempt to view the graphical settings menu. I don't think the menu likes it, but hey, smoother animations

fairly certain it still works even though people are saying it doesn't. The menu glitch just doesn't happen, and after changing the registry it just says 30fps in the settings. I saw a difference when changing from unchanged (registry edit to 120) to 60 fps to 30 fps.

Its usually due to a physics problem but i dont know why they have 120 fps option for IOS but not android and PC

@@BaoPham2 it's no problem for them, Apple just paid them a big bunch of money to hoyo to get their devices to run at 120fps, so that their devices is "better" for genshin or star rail, and therefore it's better to buy those phones and have better sales, even if an android can be as powerful.

@@akky6527 nah i was talking about uncapped fps sorry. I play genshin at 200 fps and theres a few physics problems because of it, but yeah, 120 fps should be fine on any device. Apple just has a monopoloy

Damnit that works !!! Trust me it's the real deal ! Just be aware to select the correct config before that because after that, your graphic config from the game is screwed.

^^ just a reminder that you can always change your graphic config by going back to a default preset, and then changing the fps again in the registry :)

Copy and Paste this in regedit's top bar to jump right to the folder Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Cognosphere\Star Rail Edit the following entry GraphicsSettings_Model_h2986158309 (If you do not see this setting, launch the game, and set the video preset setting to custom, then exit.) Change the top line on the right from the value of "60" to "120"

Wow for some reason uncapping fps also helped with optimizing the game!!!!!!!!!!!!!! used to always have my fps drop to 20 when walking in liyue (or whatever that region is called). I thought it was a problem with my hardware but it seems like the fps cap is somehow messing up the performance, now it runs smooth with no dips in fps, thank you!

has nothing to with the fps unlocked, i had 120 fps before and it lagged as much, its just the devs are launching optimizations non stop that are fixing all the fps drop :)

Without spoilers, has anyone who's set their FPS to 120 noticed a visual bug with the boss fight during the "To Rot or to Burn" quest? I can't tell if setting the FPS to 120 caused it or if it's just something that happens sometimes regardless

Thank goodness you're a life saver was getting a low 30fps around the city and towns couldn't get stable 60 but this will definitely help

bro when i use this, it keeps making my pc fan super loud and my gpu usage is 100%.. this only happens when i unlock fps on hoyoverse games like genshin and this game.. any idea why? im using amd 5700xt gpu btw

it's because you're rendering double the frames, it will significantly increase the load on your GPU. Even with a 3080, my fans get pretty jacked when im playing genshin at 200 fps

@@amy-295 Yeah the game is very poorly optimised. I have an OK gpu and it only runs at 100fps at best, and like 40 fps in the second world which makes no sense since I can run more intensive games like warzone at higher fps lol.

You're not gonna see the difference in a YT video because YT is locked at 60 fps and you also need a 120hz monitor for it.
