How to unlock your Yale Assure Lock SL if the batteries are dead

Had to really push mine in to make contact, positive on right side, pad didn't light up but I held the battery with one hand and touched it with the other and this worked like a charm.

Love how if you battery dies, you need to carry around a spare 9v to power it so you can unlock.

Does polarity matter when touching pole with battery? The poles look identical

It just powers your lock for you to put in the code. Nothing special

what if the 9 volts will not light up the keypad. even you tried other new 9 volts battery ? Not the best product I think. I paid the locksmith to open it
