your video helped me out sooooo much! thankyou!!! like at first i was using another video but they never explained how to go through the process entirely and o i was stuck on random steps. I had lots of trouble with the files and opening them idk what you did but literally I didn't even have to put in any of the information into the command prompts, it automatically filled it in for me in the background as I was unloading the files. I was kinda worried cause like I said I literally wasn't doing anythingg it was just downgrading automatically, but i did have the command prompt open in the background to mayby that's why? Any way everything worked out and I was able to successfully downgrade back to andriod 11 on my Pixel 3a!

k so I'm haveing an isue with my pixel 3a xl it won't flash a factory image I dont know whats wrong with it it flashes radio and bootloaders but the images wont flash I think it may be the speed it attempts the usb transfre rate is slower than the flash tools and cmd says its going but idunno for sure all I know is my phone wont boot after flashing

Hi, I have CalyxOS installed on a Pixel 3a and I want to revert to the stock Google image. I am using the Google online tool to install the stock image but when I try to unlock my OEM unlock, I am asked to enter my pin, which I do but then the OEM automatically re-locks - it won't stay unlocked. My pin is correct otherwise it would be rejected. Do you have a solution or at least an answer as to why OEM would keep locking itself? Thanks.

Solved it now! I needed to do a factory reset first and afterwards I was able to unlock OEM as expected and reinstall a stock image.

Thank you for your great tutorials. May I ask some questions: 1) Does this work on the Pixel 2 XL? (Of course with the appropriate files) 2) Do you have to first flash in the slot that you are currently in? You first flashed it on slot b, and then on a. Is it because your screen mentioned "Boot slot b"? Should we first flash on the slot that "Boot slot" is or it doesn't matter? What would be your advice? 3) Does it matter if you have a security pin before you do all this? I think I have heard that something is wrong with that. 4) Prior to rooting my phone, if I want to save the "Now Playing" history, can I do that with backing up the app with "adb.exe backup -f ambient.ab com.google.intelligence.sense" and then after I root to restore it somehow? Hi Aris, sorry for not responding sooner! To answer your questions: 1) Yep, it should work just the same! 2) No, technically there's no correct slot to be on, but because the update command sets the current slot to the slot specified in the flash and I wanted the device to end up on slot A (as it does from the factory), I chose to flash B then A. 3) No, I don't recall a problem with leaving your screen lock there - I had my pattern still enabled on the device. 4) Presumably you'd just restore the ADB backup you made through adb again! I've never tried it, but that sounds pretty neat - and it looks like it would do the job? Did you look it up somewhere?

After I flash the image zip my phone didn't reboot like yours, it didn't change the screen at all 😩 try to root/unroot this 3xl is killing me 😭😭 I did my pixel xl no problem a while back, but I just can't get this to work. Update: I couldn't get past the part where you got into recovery mode. If I tried to get into recovery mode my phone would turn off and say no command, with a dead robot. A little googling and I found out that once the dead robot pops up you hold down power, and press the volume up button once to get to the recovery mode where you can wipe data and reset. After that, the rest was a breeze!

@@CuongNguyen-gu9fl OK so update, I managed to get it rooted. It was the dumbest little thing I kept over looking, but I got rooted. That said I've been using the phone for almost 2 days now and I have no complaints, it doesn't overheat. My pixel xl used to over heat, but this 3xl has not as of yet. I'm quite enjoying it however I'm more used to the bottom button setup on a Samsung, which the pixel is slightly different and that's annoying me some. Ultimately, I think it's a decent phone, especially for the low price it is.

@@almondf23 ah this assumes you have an unlocked bootloader (also listed as a requirement). You will need to enable OEM unlock in the developer options, then reboot into the bootloader and type in "fastboot flashing unlock", accept on your phone and then reboot once. This will wipe your device, but you'll be wiping regardless when you downgrade.

Can I safely say that every step up to Relocking the Bootloader is good for flashing any factory image? If I want to keep my bootloader unlocked, but I want to UPGRADE my factory image (say from the Feb build to the Mar build), would I follow the same process using the newer factory image?
