Another great video Phil. I’ve had nothing but trouble with the original blinds on my Major 6TD, continually striping the mech down to retention them. These look a good retrofit option 👍

Hi Richard. These blinds came to around £520 which is cheaper than other brands. The side sections are alloy so they will not warp in the heat. I considered second hand but the price I was quoted by one Breakers was nearly the cost of these blinds. many Thanks Phil.👍🙂

Thanks Phil, another great vlog, that metal strip idea is much better than the plastic clips, I keep a few spare however the strip is an even contact the full width of the blind and looks better 👍

Hi Joe. Great question the 2 side blinds are roughly £140 each and around £260 for the Centre window. The frames are alloy and not plastic like the other manufacturers. The build quality is very good. I have also spoken to them re the 30 degree angle for the lower screw holes and they looking it how to adapt the current corner sections. Hope this helps. The logic in my brain would have started with the large middle one first and then the outer two. Good job Phil. These look a good product. Our Bailey has concertina blinds at the front but the sides are the roller spring type. But im a long way off needing to replace them just yet, thankfully.

Hi David I get your point. I did them this way to cover up the screw holes. Plus as I had a line level to work with it also made much more easy I hope this makes sense. Cheers Phil👍🙂

Well Phil over the years I’ve seen lots and lots of products for the caravan, I’m impressed they are the Hounds Testicles. I’m sure they will have great success with the product particularly in the self build van sector. My blinds are spot on despite being 15 yrs old but if I have a problem I know where I’m going. Your van looks fantastic. 😁👍

What great blinds, I have a newish van but the blinds will die soon enough and these will be a good replacement. A simple improvement to improve bottom access for the securing holes is to either add lugs on the side of the frame a few centimetre from the bottom as I am assuming drilling into the side of the new blinds will foul the operating mechanism? These can be discrete and avoid the bottom shelf. Also whilst not a show stopper I would prefer total blackout so would want a single blind without the small stylish holes on the middle blinds. An option maybe nice as the current ones look great but i prefer blackout. Great video and product, Any view on retail costs?

Hi Colin. The plastic corner are quite forgiving the mechanism it not effected by the corner sections. They are roughly £520 for all three which is cheaper than other brands. The holes do not bother me. If I need total black I will close the curtains as well. Thanks Phil.👍🙂
