My TV isn't automatically reading the drive. The only available options to view the content on the USB are photos, videos and music. How can i get the software to run on my TV?

Hi, you need to make sure you have a completely formatted USB drive, I mean empty. Download updates as shown, create a folder and name it LG_DTV, extract the zip as shown to your USB. Once you connect your USb to your TV, it will automatically pop up. You won't be able to run updates from photos, videos and music. This can only be done through a file Media in your TV. Repeat the process as shown in the video.

HI, I don't think you have the right update version for your LG TV. I checked on the LG Website, there is no update available for that model number. I can see updates for other models in the LG website, but not for yours. You can contact LG to see if they can assist you with that.

Hi, I checked and it's available in the LG website, search with 55UB8500-UA software update it's the zip at the bottom, it's the same as 55UB8500- ACC

@@ArtieArchives Hi, Check the uSB drive in your computer first to see if it is detected or change the USB, make sure you extract the update file the way I did it in the video. This is for the LG TV only.

Hi, I have checked the LG website, there is aversion available for your TV, just search by model number, you will see it in the page on the right. The version available is Version 03.21.40, there is version 4 yet. It all depends on what LG has available on their website, you can get the update from somewhere else.

@@Amzeeel see my motive is to install hotstar on my tv which is having update version 3.21.40 but hotstar official says hotstar will be available only for update version 4+ so , I want to say is if I install update 4+ from different model of lg tv then will it work on my tv?
