Thank you, I just bought a used gx with firmware 1.09 as well. After reading boss’ website and trying about 10 times following their instructions I decided to go to KZbin. You had me up and running 1.12 in 4 minutes.

I bought my gx100 December 2022 it worked fine until early this autumn. The knobs and function buttons started to not respond when I pushed them. It works perfect for about 30-40 min then it freezes up. I have to pull out the power cable plug cause the on off button doesn't respond. I did a firmware update to 1.12., and that extended the working period for about 70-80 min before it freezes up...Any ideas??

Contact boss maybe you still have warranty? Sounds like bad capacitors or motherboard.

Their updates are very intimidating. One wrong move and I'm out of business. 😳 Your video is good, but I'm still scared to do it. i am a gigging musician and can't afford to be without this if i have to send it for service. The updates need to be without the risk of complete failure. Boss needs to do better.

Can you confirm if they have fixed the carry over function? When changing amps on presets the reverb and delay do not carry over

I have the latest firmware 1.12 and boss tone studio keeps saying there is a communication error . anyone know how to fix this?

Tone studio in my experience is very buggy and slow to sync. Also make sure you have proper drivers installed prior to connection to PC.
