How to update the firmware of Allen Bradley PLCs

The offline copy of the project(your version of RS Logix 5000) has to match the revision of firmware that's in the controller. Sometimes it may be necessary to go backwards on a revision if a newer replacement processor is installed and you don't have access to the newest version of software. In addition, you may have a large network of PLC's with an older firmware version in them and you don't want to have to update the firmware on all of them because you changed your software version. It's much easier to flash one processor than the whole lot of them. If they don't match you cant go online, upload or download.

oh the version of your sofware is 19.00.00 but you update the new firmware version is 19.015.25. so the version of firmware is higger is it ọk ? why you do not update the version of firmware and sorfware is 19.00.00 ?

I DL all the FW from RW site- the 28-30 version does not come with a control flash instal file like the others. What and how to add these? Any help will be helpfull- Running studio 5000 AND rs5000
