The new lighting effect looks great, Greg. I'm not sure I would have bothered about keeping the R/H light directed slightly to the left, though, as the main beam light is going to dazzle any oncoming traffic, anyway.

It's handy to be able to have some control over where they are pointing.

Greg I was with you 100% up to the power grab from your main beam, then I would have to disagree. The grab from the main beam should trigger a simple automobile relay, in turn the relay then connects your aux lights direct to the battery. For safety I would place a fuse in that battery feed as close to the battery as possible. Peace.

Good advice. I'm not an electric pro.

Greg, In one of your last films you mentioned you had swapped out the filler cap from your pr7 From the standard locking one as it's not that good.... Can you tell me which cap you replaced it with please? Thanks, Tel😁👍

Gregg, Nice work. Did I understand you correctly that the ET Racing light would get you in trouble with the law in the UK? Sounds like the dipped beam is always on. Would the short beam (low) at 2200 lumens on the ET light violate the MOT rules? Is it a switched light? I'm guessing the high beam (long) would be switched in order to avoid blinding on coming traffic. I know you didn't buy the ET, but is sounds like you have a good understanding of how it works. Thanks.

There is a bit of a grey area around aftermarket LED lights. When I made this film the rules said that they were not allowed, but it looks like this rule is being amended. Bottom line, I had some spare aux LEDs and I wanted the ability to unplug them easily if I needed to. :-)

Hello Greg, thank's for your review. The et-racing or myk lab solution is indeed the easiest. Why didn't you switch to H7 led bulbs ? the fact that it is too bright in low beam mode as you say ? It's true that I tested on a motorcycle, the led bulb lighting is better but it must be very well adjusted not to dazzle.

I wanted the ability to control when I was using the LED lights, that's one of the reasons why I didn't swap out the bulbs. By having auxiliary lights I can easily unplug them if required. :-)
