Good info, thanks. The background music/sounds are distracting and a bit annoying TBH.

One thing about the suspension comments. Why do adventure bike riders not tune the suspension like MX or enduro riders? They expect the susp to be perfect for them right out of the box? I'm much more of an off road rider only using bikes on pavement to get to trails. If I didn't already have a KTM 500 excf I would take a good look at the AJP, very good specs. 11.8" susp travel VS 9.8 for the 690.

Bel video, bellissima moto. Ma i pezzi di ricambio del motore, ci sono? Sono reperibili oppure si corre il rischio di rimanere con una moto inutilizzabile ?

Thanks Greg. New to your channel and appreciate your content. I'm just considering a PR7 here in the States and it is almost impossible to see one much less sit on one so your story on the PR7 and perspectives are invaluable. I can also appreciate your delima with selling this bike. I've been getting a KTM 990 dirty since 09. While I could barely touch my toes to the ground, It was my 1st "dirt bike" and is still my goto big off-road bike. She has gotten me through some real @#$%^ and the thought of letting her go kills me. (noting like a little irrational emotional attachment to keep your garage overcrowded) However, much like you, there are some practical reasons I need to clear some space in the garage and the BetyG (Big Dumb Grin) will need to go if I want a PR7. Thanks for sharing your story and looking forward to digging into your content. Cheers from the mountains, deserts, and canyons of Utah. If you have not, you should visit one day and we'll show you some spectacular riding.

Greg mate, I’m interested in buying the PR7. To ride the TET in need to commute several highway. How is the bike for let’s say an hour and a half wind wise. Is that okish? Or is it not a good traveler and should I buy a T7 or desertX. Cheers mate and keep it rolling.

Your choice of bike all depends on your choice of riding ( simple ) I’m currently looking at a T7 as I want to ride distance to get to off road plus I like to camp 🏕️ so T7 for me 👍 Coming down from a Multistrada.

Question about InReach... I will register InReach physically while I am in Japan before my trip to the U.S. and Germany, but will it work while I am in those countries after I leave Japan on my vacation, or do I have to re-register InReach every time I go to another country?

Thank you for your video. I have a question, I downloaded an OpenStreet map of Japan onto a MicroSD card and then placed it in my Garmin Montana 750i, but it did not work. I unzipped it and just loaded all the files. Did I do something wrong? Could you please provide me with instructions on how to do this? Thank you.

Just stumbled across your channel. Good story 👍 I bought a second hand 2012 exc during lockdown as I was living with me ex and her family on a small holding in the New Forest and thought I’d take advantage of the easy access to the Hampshire trails and improve my bike riding ability. Shortly after the easing off lockdown she gave me my marching orders and now I’m back in central london and it’s such an effort to get out and find anywhere to make use of the bike but I’m heavily invested in the bike and kit I’d be gutted to let it go. So your long range adventures have given. E hope and as soon as my broken collarbone heals (another long dirtbike related story) I think I’ll plan a trip to Europe too. The only mod I’ve done so far (not mechanically minded either) is try to upgrade the light as it’s all but useless. It’s not gone so well. I got a 3x3 row led headlamp (from some eBay site)but can only get the top row of lights to come on and once, go ing home from a day out with the TRF, they didn’t come on at all and I’m completely stumped as to why they don’t work. This has led me to consider the baja design light but they are so expensive I’m a bit worried I’m about to waste more money, I liked you light but I prefer the look of the standard light and shroud.

Hi Greg, good to hear from you. I haven’t managed to do anything with regards the light yet…. Still not been out on the bike since breaking my collarbone in April. Doc says another 6 weeks and I should be fully healed. That’s almost a 6 month recovery time. I’ll start slowly with a few more TRF events but now I’m considering a TET tour back to Portugal to catch up with Diogo. I’m thinking a 3 week trek around April next year. At the moment the only thing putting me off is having no one to come with me…. If your interested, mores the merrier and if you have any ideas to share about my light issues that would be greatly appreciated.

Agreed. These 12-16 bikes are the tits. I love my 15' 501 just as much. So glad I didn't sell. Oh and no, that is the only sizable tank I could find. I have the same one. I think it looks just fine. 4.1 gallons is pretty nice. There is an IMS tank part number 112423-N2 that also fits, however it's only 3.1 gallons and you need some different hardware to utilize it. The plus with the IMS is the brass threaded inserts.

Interesting to watch. One question, since it seemed that the oil wasn't warm when it was let out. As far as I know it is SUPER important to ONLY empty the oil out when the engine is warm. Was it warm or cold?
