How To Upgrade All Interior Lights to L.E.D. | 3rd gen Toyota 4Runner

Are the interior light on your 3rd gen Toyota 4Runner looking rather dim? I'll show you how to quickly and easily replace all the interior lights with LED replacement bulbs to brighten things up inside. The results are stunning and made a huge difference. Switching to LEDs will not only make things brighter but will also consume far less power so they won't put as much drain on the battery when the engine is off. FYI I'm gonna mention. After doing this today. When you replace the rear dome light. Take the assembly with the 4 screws off to put the light and take the old one out.. if you lose one behind it it's in the frame. Rip little guy... Also take your negative off as always to prevent a fuse getting blown. Nice vid dude. Love me some diy!

At the end, when you show the comparison between old factory bulbs and the new LEDs, the difference (brighter-ness) is probably more than appears on the video, because the camera adjusts for the available light, but you probably already knew that. I couldnt get the 31mm lights to fit in the door lights. Did you have to smash them in there to fit or bend back the connector?

I just bent the holder tabs some so they fit perfectly

If you do this on a 3rd gen Toyota 4runner, do yourself a huge favor. REMOVE THE REAR AND MID-ROOF LIGHTING ASSEMBLY COMPLETELY FROM THE VEHICLE! There is no pocket above each light position so if it slips past the mounting clips it will go up into the body of the vehicle and a magnet will not retrieve it. Fishing it out from the body channel was real fun. Learn from me, remove the lighting assembly!

Made them out of reflectix and gaffers tape, so they are black on the outside, that combined with window tint makes it super stealthy

I did make them myself, took a good amount of time to do to get them just right, got the curtains on amazon. super easy to install, took maybe 5 minutes. type in car curtains on amazon. ill make a vid on my setup at some point
