I had a Dell years ago that was so easy to open. It literally had one screw. It was a flat panel that clipped in around 3 of the 4 sides. The screw was actually captured in the panel. So, unscrewing it raised the panel up to where I could easily pull it off with my finger. I wish more companies would design the backplates like that.

Exactly what I need to performed the memory upgrade on a 2023 Legion 5 pro, i7-13700hx 🎉 Minor differences: memory modules are installed with one facing down the other up. The slots in the modules won't let you install them incorrectly anyway. The back cover design was slightly different, but a plastic pry tool worked the same way - run the pry tool around the seam of the back panel and it gently separates from the chassis. Good news - no RAID drive setup so I have a free slot for another SSD!
