I bought the legion 5 pro (13700hx + 32gb ram + 4070 with 1 tb ssd). I also bought a 2nd ssd (WD 850x 2tb). I tried to upgrade the memory to 64gb, (2×32 Kingston Fury 4800) BUT UNFORTUNATELY THEY WERE NOT RECOGNIZED. I use Premiere and do "heavy" editing (color + denhancer pro + neat). I AM IMPRESSED WITH THIS LAPTOP!!! Just amazing. And without temperature problems !!!

@farisnazeri9841 My configuration is 32gb ram, which is sufficient for use with Premiere. Unfortunately, I don't know the requirements for DaVinci, but I think that 32gb of ram is the basis for any serious and demanding rendering.

I can’t really tell, because I use it all the time plugged in, since I spend hours on it at home. But once without charging it I remember I used it for around 6 hours while gaming part of the time too, (until I wanted to plug in again). 🤣🥰 Idk, for the price, is amazing 🎉

The weight is also substantial I'm actually looking at the 14" slim 5 with the Oled screen and more efficient processor It has the same performance, better screen and way less weight

@@SuperRomanHoliday Slim 7 is lighter despite being completely metal and having a bigger battery. It also comes with a lighter and smaller 270W charger. And the amd phoenix chips are more efficient than the amd dragon range, so you have less power consumption, more battery life, better performance on battery and when using small 65w, 100w usb c chargers.

The Price, Performance, Design, Hinge(180 Degree), Display, and Ports all are great. Today after 2 months I found 3 issues. The solution: takes the help of Ultimate support from the Lenovo. Battery life is just 1:30 or max 2:00 just using Google Chrome no high performance activity. The keyboard sometimes hangs and does not work only option is to restart. but recently I talked with customer care and he suggested me update the drivers. The sound system is not expected(bass is not great) when I compared it with my other Dell XPS and Asus Zenbook.

There seems to be either a slightly less bright screen with 32gigs or a configuration with a brighter screen and HDR 400 with only 16gigs. for about a $80 difference. I think I'd take the 32 gig config and slightly less bright screen since it'll be hooked up to a monitor 75% of the time anyway. And I won't need to go messing with the insides.

Try changing the usb suspend settings to disabled in Control Panel -Power Options -Edit Plan settings

Lenovo doesn't have light shade productivity 7840u/hs laptop with 2 upgradable RAM slots and 500nit 3k 2.5k quality screen with wide selection keyboard regions. There is prebuilt Misty Grey Legion Slim 5 7840hs in UK and in Germany that comes with 500nit screen. But nothing like Legion Slim 7 AMD quality with 2 upgradable RAM slots. 💔

Ofc that is normal, dont ever expect that you will get more battery life with a performance laptop, because when you unplug , the battery time will depend on the size of battery you got, 60 or 80Whrs, and these battery size can't stand for too long.

Hi, I bought this laptop with i9 13900HX, 4070 and I have a problem regarding the screen which of I cannot find any solution, my screen has a problem where almost any video or photo with high black contrast has pixelated circles around, and looking very low resolution. I have tried everything I could find online, reinstalled the windows, the drivers, tried calibrating the screen, different resolutions... Nothing worked, even my 8 year old laptop has a better screen except the brightness. If someone has any suggestions, please go ahead, I'll try 2 - 3 days, if not I will be giving in to warranty. Lol.... Even when you intentionally tried to correct the naming you stumbled. I own this laptop and can never remember the correct naming and have literally looked it up dozens of times. It's a Pro 5 and Pro 5i. The 5 pros are long gone. Why they'd change the naming scheme from 2022 to 2023 is beyond me.
