Glad you mentioned checking the phase of the speakers is correct. This can't be overstated. Out of phase speakers will sound like total shit!

Hi mate, Any upgrade will help the sound quality, Amp and sub will give more power to the bass, mids and highs might also need an upgrade after a sub install

Have recently gotten a 2012 glxr and your content is pushing me to do more myself. 2 quick questions tho, firstly the trip computer can it just be ditched when doing a double din upgrade?? I find mine useless and would rather a pocket, and second where are you mounting all your light switches from other videos?? There is no spare spots in my dash. hey mate, you can ditch the trip computer and replace it with a pocket and add switches, Ive been working in a switch panel to fit but havent finalised the concept of it yet, will post a pic when i finally finish it.

Yes 6 1/2" in all 4 doors, will make a massive difference in sound when you replace just the speakers

Correct, changing the speakers will improve the sound over stock, to find the size check out the vehicle service manual or try Google or you can remove the trim an find out that way as well.

Look for a service manual not an owners manual, will need to get it online, will have every detail of the car on how to strip it down an put it back together.

It depends on how far you want to go, sound deadening in the doors can improve sound with out changing the speakers, also if you have amps make sure to tune them properly to the system, alot of people tune the gain way to high,

$40 bucks per spacer. Yeah not likely. Don’t know where you guys are shopping but I hope the spacers are gold plated for that price. Also using those crap Mitsubishi plastic spacers is pure rubbish.

Hey Gony G, very true, it's was added to the description that its upto $40 for a set of 4 and we definitely won't be entering any sound off comps so the factory spacers are fine for this application.
