Excellent. I am about to reupholster 8 antique dining chairs, all parson style (no arms). It was the inside backs I needed some confirmation on (like the only way to do this is to remove the front!)

Simple steam from an iron held close softens the glue and it peels off easily.

A heat gun will warm that glue up and the material will separate easier
