Love how the principles of this follow French dressmaking techniques. You basically moulaged and draped the chair! Love it

I had no idea it was similar, that’s awesome!

I have only just found your channel and I am really glad that I did. I have a wing back chair that needs upholstery but wasn't sure how to go about it, thank you for sharing your knowledge as I now feel confident that I can give this a go.

It’s good to see your tips. I had a problem getting the inside top arm to stay firm without little wrinkles

Wrinkles may mean it doesn't fit correctly. 👍😊🙏⛏️📐✂️

Hello, your videos are so helpful. Im paying shed loads for a course but its no good for modern upholstery. Do you have any videos of building up an arm from scratch ie. from the frame. I need to know how to get the shape with foam. All the videos I can find already have the foam on.

Great video, as all of yours are. What brand name of spray glue do you recommend?
@faceliftinteriors Жыл бұрын
Thank you June. I use Martins upholstery suppliers but they are trade only, just heavy duty spray adhesive will do. Screwfix sell it 👍📐📌🪡🧵✂️

Hi love your channel Can I ask what is the gold foam that covers the zig zag springs please.
@faceliftinteriors3 жыл бұрын
Hi Sarah! Thank you so much for watching! I believe that was white 1 inch foam that has lost its colour over the years. I would have put hessian over the springs and then added half inch blue over the top of the old 1 inch foam (if there was nothing wrong with that foam, if there was then I’d completely replace it) and then Dacron over the top of that. Hope this helps 😊👍🏻

Hi, What was the fabric you used? I'm about to use Impala, it looks similar, how is it to work with? Thanks
@faceliftinteriors Жыл бұрын
This is Ashley Wilde Velvet! Its pretty good to be honest! My Favs are Linwood Omega for sofas, Ashley Wilde Omari for buttoning. Hope this helps!!! Thanks for watching 😊👍⛏️🧵📐✂️

i have a leather power recliner chair from costco (essentially a lazyboy)...but i want to upholster the chair (the leather is slippery, and also its too cold and not as comfortable as a nice microfiber fabric). Can you do a video where you fully upholster one of these?
@faceliftinteriors3 жыл бұрын
Hi there! Apologies for the delay in replying - I don’t do many of these but I do get one in, I will make sure to make a video 😊👍🏻
