How to use a brushless motor tester to find out if the hub motor on a e-bike it's broken hall sensor

Can you use it to determine the firing order of Hall sensors (to match controller to motor if the wire colors don't correlate)?

thanks for sharing .when I test the hall sensors the led light are good bright but when I test the 3 phase windings the led lights are weak and they just turn on when I spin the motor in back ward direction and when spinning forward direction they stay dark any body there to help?

Thank you. I have tested my motor hslls abd green keeps illuminated all time. Green light comes stronger alternately alobg with the other hall sensors but it doesnot turn off completely. Could it be shorted gate?
