How To Use A Controller On Minecraft Java! (Forge + Fabric/Quilt)

Using MidnightControls or Controllable, you can use a controller to play Minecraft Java Edition! This method is working with Xbox controllers, as well as DualShock and DualSense controllers!

The reason why I wanted to play Minecraft Java with controller is because I want to use Shaders, but with this mods, it can't run Optifine and completely crashes everytime I launch it.

So im assuming there isn't a way to unbind any unnecessary buttons that you don't want? And no way to have the sprint as a double tap instead of a press down? This is by far the best but i found a better one that is like original console but its very very laggy.

Are you able to access the controller settings? If not, the mod may not be installed correctly. But if you can access the settings you should check whether your Xbox controller appears in the list and maybe there is a problem with the connection.

Sadly no way to make it work with my controller, I guess you need a pretty good one from a big brand to make it work.

for survival the fabric version is broken it works and everything but vreaking blocks is not working as u have to hold down but u can somehow only click so i can break grass but no dirt n stuff. pls help

How do I use this along with shaders? I am given the Exit 1 error code with my game crashing. I have tried this with forge and fabric and neither allows both controllable and also shaders

Based on my research so far. Forge and controllable will work just fine together along with framework but they pare not compatible with optifine. If this changes please let me know lol

Which version are you trying to use for forge? You might want to try the recommended or latest file depending on which one you downloaded
