Why dosent anyone comment about dial indicators that you should have the plunger at 90 degrees to the CL of the shaft or surface... If not you get errors at 45 degrees to CL you get half readings which can be used to get even more accuracy

Is the magnetic base a permanent magnet or and electric magnet? If it is a permanent magnet, how can it be switched on and off?

1/1000inch is 0.025mm，i remember that comon axle needs 0.03～0.05mm circle runout. this is a good one.

The dial indicator in this video measures 1/10,000 inch or 0.00254mm. Thanks for your feedback

Exceot that the machined surface on the right side of the screen is not only in the machine surface but also the right surface

V blocks should be contacting the ground end cylinder surfaces for those measurement, not the inside rough surfaces.
