The fresh air vents I've heard baffle most people. My sprinter van was an '07 so I believe they've taken care of the AC button and made it more intuitive. But it was the darndest thing the red light was on that he was off.

Dude, when the red light on the AC switch is illuminated, the air is on. If it is not illuminated then it is not on. Unless yours is wired differently than all the rest.

Well I lived in it for the last 6 months and that's the way it works. If you have a newer model they may have changed it.

So, what if I push the button for A/C, and it either shows red, or no light at all. Does that mean that the A/C isn't working?

My guess it's part of the traction control system. Try turning off the traction control and see if that doesn't

There is a actual button labeled assist lol that turns off the old system

Well we put the sprinter in park and hit the button, and it didn't turn it off so might be more then just hitting the button . Would turning disconnecting the batteries worm

Are you certain the red light means the a/c is off? Here is a video of an ASE Certified Master Automotive Technician showing otherwise. In the video it clearly shows him pressing the button to turn the a/c on (red light on), to test it. Link: kzbin.info/www/bejne/op6cpJV8bLGJmdUfeature=shared Please advise

Yes it was the most counterintuitive thing and confused me many times but if the red light was on the AC was off. also make sure you have the fan on. This was an '07 model they may have changed it to a more intuitive system on later models
