This dude is good. He did his homework. Some would argue, why get out early if its going a little bit higher? Me personally, I'd rather take my profits close to the high of day, that to get stopped out hoping(yes hoping) the stock would push higher. I think it was a good call on his part. I would call this guy..........The Natural.

Did a similar trade and exited all out at 192 too. Reviewed my trade and should have really held for a bigger move when stock gapped up to all time high with positive catalyst!

Excellent video, thanks. A few questions: 1. Why not buy a small position into the wick down to around 183.50, risking against LOD just below 183? 2. At around 9:55 when it pulled into 187 and held VWAP, why not use VWAP as a guide to add? Is it too early in the day to trust it? 3. I noticed you are trading with a 5min chart early on. I also like this. Do you find the 1min to be too choppy for bigger picture intra-day swing trades like this one?

1. Since the stock opened red, you wont know the LOD is gonna be able to hold. If you are an aggressive trader, you can buy a small position for sure, but risky. 2. When it first time pulled into the VWAP, you have to wait a little bit to make sure it can hold the drop. If you are an aggressive trader, you can buy that dip for sure. I think this trader is a new trader, since his first position is 50 shares which is 25% of his full risk. He did well as a new trader on that trade.

TOS has a cool earnings tool in "Analysis". Shows the stock price from 5 days before earnings to 5 days after earnings. You can add up to the previous 8 quarterly earnings periods (I use them in multiple combinations and search for time specific news when there's an anomaly). I've been using it, just as a reference, when constructing an earnings play. I think a "Burning Earnings" play is important, given that every company posts earnings/revenue every three months, and the more I study them the more predictable they seem...I'd like to figure out a good swing trade. I read that many companies that drop in price the first 48-72 hours after earnings tend to trend upwards the following three weeks (might be worth parameterizing and backtesting)...This turned into a rant. I think I'm mostly talking to myself at this point...
