I have a really nice TENS Unit that also has IFC and HMES, and though the unit came with instructions on where to put the pads I didn't find ithem very clear. I'm glad I came across this video.

I have that Tens unit and will say they have great customer service. I had to order pads for sensitive skin because I break out in a rash even with pads for sensitive skin. I am allergic to something in them. I am using it right now, really hurting with neck pain, help

Two questions please: just received the ET 8080. #1 Can TNS or EMS be used for maintenance or are they only effective when used on an active problem area? In other words, if I don't have a sore knee at the moment, can I use TENS or EMS as a preventative measure? #2 How do I know if I should be using TENS or EMS treatment?

@@BobandBrad Been dealing with a frozen shoulder for about three months. Going to physio, but recovery is still a ways off. Most recently, the pain has started radiating to my neck and up the back of my head. I was ready to try a 2x4 last night to knock myself out and not feel the pain anymore (joking, kind of). Anyhow, I don't how or why exactly, but my tens unit in combination with your towel exercise finally gave me some relief! So when I say thank you, boy, do I ever mean it 🥰

What if your neck pain leads to headaches and migraines? I've been taking meds for both for about 10 years I just can't get rid of them. I've also got a pinched nerve in my lower back from Spinal Stenosis causing massive pain in my right hip down to my right foot... Just looking for anything for pain relief. I had to quit my really good job because I was taking too many pain meds to make it through the day because of the pain.

What about non-invasive vegal nerve stimulators. How are these different than a TENS unit? They tout being used for migraines and the stimulator sits right on the neck near the vegal nerve.

I have seen that you can use the TENS for TMJ. You mention that they can’t be placed on your head, do you not recommend the machine for TMJ then?

The tens unit I have recommends not to put pads on the neck because of the jugular vein. But it doesn't say not to use it there either so I didn't know if I could place them there or not. It does state that is a no NO on the head. Ultimately my question is ; Can the tens unit affect your neck somehow in a negative way if placed incorrectly? Btw you guys are the best PT's on the internet ;)

Do settings determine how many electrodes you use? I would like to use continuous or modulated TENS on the neck. And so you always use the cross cross pattern when using 4 electrodes?

Hi bob and brad, ive been suffering from a mild c3-c4 disc bulge and it has been causing me discomfort for a couple of years. It got worse this 2020 upto now, i cant really do things now, cant stand for long, i play darts, but now i can only play for 30 mins. Ive been doing physical therapy for abt 6 months now, i could say the pain reduced as for i managed to stop pain killers. But im getting sick of this lifestyle where i cant do anything without feeling neck pain. Im 23 yrs old btw. Ive been looking up abt surgery and i really think its the only option for me now. But my parents think no. Their minds are closed to that option. So i really dont know what to do anymore. I hope u can reply to this. I badly need some opinions from experiences professionals like u guys

Dont do surgery. You are really young and could create issues with neighboring discs (more surgeries)

I have reused pads by wetting them in a corningwear container. Never put them w/o removing the skin oil. Avoid open skin.
