Good info. Love my TOWA tension gauge! My Qnique 15R likes about 220 to 240 tension with Omni 40 wt polyester thread.

Is there a way to tell if a bobbin is defective?
@brendafarris73503 жыл бұрын
What a wonderfully helpful video! Sometimes it is the simple things we need to hear about. I am a newbie and alllll these tips are sooooo helpful! Question: Should EVERY bobbin be checked EVERY time before using it?? Or it this just a proceedure to do at times??
@LindasElectricQuilters3 жыл бұрын
Normally you wind 5 to 6 to do a quilt, then all you need to do is check 1 of that group. So think of it this way, each time you use a different thread, starting a new quilt, check that 1st bobbin and you should be okay.

As long as it has a bobbin case that you take out of the machine, then yes you can use this and it works.

Thanks for sharing. Should the tension on the Towa gauge be the same for a 40 wt and 60"wt thread?
@LindasElectricQuilters3 жыл бұрын
Same number:)

Hello! Does this gauge work for an M bobbin wound with Tex70#69 nylon or polyester thread for a Juki industrial? Would it still need to read 220-240? Thank you!
@LindasElectricQuilters3 жыл бұрын
Yes it will still work and yes you would normally keep the settings the same. You might find the nylon thread to gauge a little looser, but the poly thread would gauge normal. We use it for all types of thread.
