I’ve never bothered commenting on a video ever. But I had to take the time to say thank you. I’ve kept fish for over 30 years. I’ve never tested water, not once. I’ve had a brake having moved house but now 7 years later the house is complete and I’m setting up a tank. I just thought it would be a good thing to do with my son. Being dyslexic when I started as a kid I didn’t read much. I always chatted to shop owners and picked brains. I need to hear it not read it. You young man covey your self very well I get it all and my new fish keeping habits will be referring to this very video a lot. Great job.

I have watched several other videos on how to use the API Freshwater Master Test kit and this video is the only one that follows the directions *exactly*. Other videos had some interesting information on the cycling process however most didn't 'shake vigorously' for the correct amount of time (or at all). One video continue with the comparison chart reading without waiting 5 minutes (on the tests that required it).

Here's a tip for anyone using this, its not mentioned anywhere in the instructions but a good habit shown in this vid, I fully believe you NEED to shake the ammonia bottles. Ryan G I've been incredibly nervous to order fish online. I see what little water they are traveling in. Also I feel while the seller has all the good intentions of making it safe to put the fish in the mail, those who actually drive the trucks may not take the same care. Perhaps my concerns are unjustified. It just really makes me nervous. The bad thing about that is I could get some really cool fish if I could go over that fear. I am Limited in my area on cool fish.

Joshua, I have a 1 Cup Pyrex measuring cup that I pull about *2/3 of a cup of Tank Water.* I use a 5ml Medicine Syringe to draw Tank Water from The Cup for the Test Tubes, for *Pre-rinse, Testing, and Final Rinsing!* I keep a Plastic Cup as a "Dump Cup" to pour the Test Tube Contents into. I never allow Tap Water into my Tubes, *unless I am Testing Tap Water,* and then I use Tank Water to Rinse. And I have Each Tube Cap *color coded* so each tube is specific for each test.
