How to use an astrolabe in the daytime

Love your video, wish you could the same but with a medieval planisphere. Thought your lining up to the sun was very clear. Not sure whether it would have been really used to tell the time, would have been easier to do that by observing the Sun's direction and how high it was in the sky and the season.Much easier. But the other 1000 uses, as this was used to serve astrology.
