I'm a singer/songwriter and tried to work with a few producers in the past but never could find someone to really match my style (or my budget), so I've decided to learn production myself, which sounds SO overwhelming to say the least, especially when I never intended to. I was nearly about to give up on it all after scrolling through so many complicated YT tips and stuff, when I came across your channel. You guys literally saved me from giving up on this. @@masteringcom👀. Also, I don't know if this is something you could do, but I think note arrangement should be one you do. Having a good master and mix comes down to how you layer, and ect. Not too many good videos on how to space things out on the piano roll, or on the general recording level. How to mash cords together that sound kind odd on their own, but together, they make up the puzzle. Stuff like that too. I know this is a mixing, and mastering channel mostly, but sometimes a issue can be solved just back at the notes too. I'll stand buy, don't worry. 👀.

This is amazing! One thing that stuck out to me was how much of the information correlated to how I mix vocal harmonies. I.e. choosing what to cut, boost, take out, and such. Whenever I am working with many vocal tracks, I ask myself frequently what I can take out without affecting the overall tone and feeling of the vocals. Oftentimes, I find a lot of dead vocals that aren't doing much but making things sound cluttered or adding volume.

You take us on the long, slow journey to getting to hear the resonant frequencies, from identifying them, isolating them, to removing them. That moment where we hear the difference in the acoustic guitar track between fully cleaned up and the original track with all the resonant frequencies ringing out… man…that was an insanely huge light bulb moment for me. That was worth the ‘price of admission’ alone. And I’ve still got 8 hours to go! I cannot thank you guys enough for this. ✊🏼 Edit: HOLY CRAP! I did the Vowel Technique on SoundGym and it worked! I was so stoked about that!! COOL! Immediate improvement!!

I had recording classes in college, but we didnt really cover mixing too in-depth. Tips on sweep eq : when trying to find if smt is harsh or not, turn your headphone volume louder than usual cuz its hard to know if it is sounding harsh when the volume you are listening is low...

I had years and years struggle with using compressors and eqs and when I say years I really mean it it was so intense that I just left effecting sounds and just tried to going with make everything great at start cause when you knew and learned everything and still having no clue and new information just make you more confuse you just leave it aside watching compressor course and now eq course was just awakening and just putting everything together not to just what to do but know and understanding what is gonna work for situations for you and what you want and need now I have references things to check and intentions to do things and having full control to step back your compressor course was stepping my game up for like years the next day... now with this eq course it's just finished I'm done I'm the best I have full control on anything I want I just can't thank your team and my man Dylan ever the way I should just wish you the bests
