Thanks for this video! My husband and I are fixing up a cute 1950s home. Right now we are working on the kitchen, specifically, the cabinets. Our plan is to paint them, but the paint jobs over the past 70 years have been pretty bad. The paint is thick with unevenness and some drips. This video is a great help for the sanding and prep!

Thank you for the great video. I see some paper with the holes and some without, why the difference? Also, it looks like you can buy ones that attach to the unit, can you explain?

The paper with holes is typically used on an orbital sander (what I use in this video) and attaches like velcro. The paper with holes is ideal because the holes allow the saw dust to fall away or be sucked away from the sanding surface while you are sanding and the holes also help keep the temperature down while sanding (the sandpaper can get warm). The paper with holes is designed to be attached to a sander and you wouldn't typically use the paper by itself. If you don't have an orbital sander and need to sand by hand, I would recommend using a sanding sponge.
