This is great. I have 3 separate opt ins so this laid it out perfectly. Gotta go down the email automation rabbit hole now

Yeah! That's exactly what this is for. I realized I was spending a lot of time moving contacts around so putting this together really helped out! Automation is powerful.

@@JoshSchonert Glad you pointed out that even if contacts get removed from your list, they are still in the automation. I now have exactly how my automation will work in my head with those that opt in and those that also purchase. Easily the easiest to understand automation tutorial on KZbin!

Josh...watched this video...also, watched the segment one too. I have set up auto responders for my lists, but I am not sure that they are that cool. how do you set up your autoresponders?
@JoshSchonert2 жыл бұрын
Hey Bill! Thanks again for your continued support! So, the trick that I use when it comes to my autoresponders is that I make sure they are set up with a set of emails (at least 5) to go through additional information after someone opts in. From there, I then send them to an intro list where I introduce myself and talk a little bit about my story. From there they then go to my normal newsletter. The idea behind this flow is to take them through a series of informational emails that help them understand the value they are getting from me, even when they are in the initial autoresponder series. And, this also allows me to track the experience of the subscriber to see where I'm getting the most engagement. The automation is there to help all that go smoothly without me having to babysit my subscribers and it allows me to focus on the income-generating tasks, not the tedious behind-the-scenes work.

Using your approach here with one automation for opens and one for clicks how can you make sure the leads would be Tagged ‘Engaged - clicks’ ‘Engaged - opened’ if the scores add up together? It seems it would definitely be useful to see who’s only opening and who’s opening & clicking.

You're right! That would be useful, and if you had two different automation flows running these, then it would be entirely possible. The hard part here, though, is that some people turn off the automatic download of pictures in their email client (outlook is notorious for this), and so you may get some skewed numbers if looking for opens and clicks. So, if you do it how you were talking (one for clicks, one for opens) and loop them in the same list, then create a segment that's just for those that opened AND clicked, I believe that would be the best way to narrow down your most engaged subscribers.
