What is Oud perfume oil, Ambroxan or Bakhoor?
Oud oil a.k.a Dehn Al Oud (دهن العود) literally means “The fat of the Wood” and it's the name to designate Oud oils.
Oud oil can be extracted by distillation from the wood or by melting the resin. Oud (a.k.a agarwood, aloeswood, oudh, agalocha, eaglewood or gharuwood) has been used as perfume, in its pure raw form as well blended with other natural perfume ingredients. It's also called "liquid gold" because of the value.
Ambroxan is a ingredient that universally, almost everyone likes the smell of. It's a natural ingredient that comes from clary sage and you’ll find it included in varying concentrations in so many bestselling fragrances.
Bakhoor (or bukhoor, bakhur, بخور) are wood chips soaked in perfume oil and can be placed in a incense burner (Mabkhara) to perfume the house and clothing with the fragrance rich smoke. It's popular in the Middle East.

I'm Saudi-American and I approve the technique she is using. My dad usually will put a coin on the the heated coal then he will put the oud chip above the coin. This way the temperature is lower and that's will help to get more time burning time and the smell will be sweater.

I have been layering like this for years. I never buy a fragrance to use on its own, I always choose something that I know will interact with my oils and bakhoor. I have also just purchased a bottle of Molecule 02 and hopefully this will help with projection and longevity. Today I'm wearing Molton Harris Fleurs de Sel with a touch of Issey Miyake and a black musk oil from Swiss Arabian. I also never wear a fragrance to please other people. I treat fragrances like clothes - different day, different clothes and different fragrance. I also use perfume oils on my mattress and headboard when I change the bedding, particularly rose oils and white Egyptian musk. It's beautiful waking up and smelling beautiful florals in my room.

The Arab way with the Bakhoor burner if you want your Dress for a special occasion to smell amazing you need a type of an " Metal Mannequin without the legs and torso so the smoke will be able to come inside your clothes", and hang your clothes on it! & then spray your clothes with a good parfum. And then place a big bag maybe a type of garden garbage bag since they're usually big over it. And then place the Bakhoor burner underneath it! And let it smoke for some minutes, and thereafter take the bag away from your clothes! And after that you're going to have a dress that smells heavenly! Basicly that's how we Arabs do it! 😀

@@CurlyFragrance When layering Cambodian Oud oil; Do you apply the Oud oil first and then layer the fragrance over the top or do you apply the Oud oil in a separate location from the original fragrance? I applied “Cambodi Oud” (Scent Salim) to the front of my neck and applied “Montblanc Individuel” (which usually has horrible projection) behind ears and nape (back) of neck. People were telling me how amazing I smelled from at least 10 ft away and I can’t figure out if they are smelling the fragrance or the Oud Oil…what do you think?

I've never experimented with a bakour before so it was interesting to learnt that whole process. And a reminder I need to get back into oils too. I haven't tried any in so long. Can you do a top 10 or 20 best oud wood for burning and powders or cubes of resin that are super strong?! I would love to not waste money and just know from the start the ones that smell amazing so I can invest!! I’m a perfume freak and incense lover and candle burning person so seeing this is mind blowing I never knew there were other options for scenting. I even saw the burners to plug into your car to make it smell good I would love to see a review on those too! Americans I don’t think know about bakhoor that much. We need more than those wax melts that you put in electric burners to make your house smell good! Lol! The fact that you can use this to scent your body and clothes is amazing I ordered mine from Amazon after I watched this video I’m commenting on. Most bakhoors are available in small tester pouches and are pretty cheap anyway and you can find small wood chip bakhoors too. I would suggest that you start with Oud Cambodi or Vietnam as they tend to be beginner friendly. I have some pretty stinky oud chips that smell really sweet and floral when put on a burner. I've never had a 'hoss shit' barnyard oud that carries the smell through to a room to be honest. Also if you have a local Arabic community then they are pretty friendly and you might find something hand made within the community. Also a lot of the big Middle Eastern frag houses have bakhoor to match their atomiser sprays.

I use a lot of eastern oils. I started out on the creed aventus and afgano black. And wow they still project 10x more than bottled 💩. Your funny and great to see you making the video more homely and enjoyable. To many people to straight forward and forgot to stay real. Eastern oils on theirself don't project so much indeed thats why I use them for layering😁. Oh yes I am the most easy and open person I would not act to be something else. I rather have followers that lioe me for who I am😁 I love to watch CubaKnow he is amazing and also a bit crazy🤣. You will like the Ambroxan video👌😉😁❤
