What if answering calls with the MFB doesn't work, I use the headset with my laptop, but I cant answer calls with the headset, any idea why?

The blue parrot m300 is not designed for answering calls via the laptop. Heck no headset is going to do that when you connect it via Bluetooth direct to the laptop. The only way this works is if you have a compatible dongle that is integrated into the type of platform you're using like Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Zoom phone or Ring Central. Jabra does make a USB Bluetooth dongle for several blue parrot models which can perform this function. Let me know if that helps. If you have more questions please send them our way. Why does my headset keep telling me that's connected? It use to never due that, but now it does.

Definitely odd. First line of defense is to check out if there are any updates to the firmware for the blue parrot. Sometimes the issue isn't always the headset it could be that the firmware on your mobile device may have been updated and it could have broken a few things. Connect to the Blue parrot app see if there is a firmware update and if that fixes the issue If not come back here and let me know and I'll be glad to work on that with you.

Is the M300 ready to go out of the box or does it need to be charged first

It will have about 30% charge out of the box but if you want more you'll want to charge it up for about 30 minutes or so
