You’re so funny, “dude, get some butter” lol! My BPC is made with butter, MCT oil, collagen, hazelnut stevia, and a pinch of sea salt. I throw it in my bullet or use my frother and drink it every morning. I have lost 50 lbs in 8 mos. at the age of 67. Oh $hit. In this video, Ken is nearly admitting the diet is too hard (I'm looking for carbs), a marketing gimmick ("way too expensive"), and he's coughing thru the video. If you're hungry - or trying to turn OFF your hunger - that's a body-signal that you're missing nutrients. MD's are some of the worst. Yeah, he STILL doesn't know better.

@@Justme77400 Again with this 'works' stuff. I have an old video called "What do you mean by 'works'?" And your line "you’re burning what your body needs." What I love about Dr Berry’s videos is that he doesn’t assume that just because folks don’t have much spending money, they don’t value their health. I appreciate his willingness to break facts down and offer inexpensive ways to live a healthier lifestyle. It’s hard to look at my budget and decide whether to buy organic meat or an expensive supplement. Thank you, Doctor.

Me too, nobody is immune to have financial problems, you can't judge. So many Doctors in America look down on people with a tight budget and often they don't give them the same care. I have been in both situations and I think it is a disgrace of the profession. We are not lacking of intelligence, just the green money doesn't grow on trees anymore.

I can't get over how impressed I am with your in depth knowledge of nutrition. I have watched many of your videos and put the information to use. I am a type 2 diabetic. When initially diagnosed in 2005 my A1c was 12.5. I was put on glyburide and had numerous episodes of low glucose and felt like shit all the time. I did atkins and that improved things a lot but eventually fell off the diet. No doctor ever told me I could reverse my diabetes and it was 5 years before a PA finally told me that diet and exercise could actually reverse it. So in 2010 when I turned 41 I decided to start running half marathons. I ran one a year for 5 years and kept my A1c around 5.9. However, I had an injury in 2016 and stopped running or exercising and let my diet go to shit. I also just went into denial about my diabetes. To make a long story longer, In the last 2 weeks of following your advice and eating keto, my bg has gone from average 290-310 to 150-160 and 136 today after eating and taking my dog for a walk. And it has been EASY. I have gone completely Keto and plan on eventually going carnivore. I can't thank you enough for your stand for people getting healthy and for informing us about the right way to eat. You're the best.

I have emerged into a new KWOE GONGA era my friends. It's now month #8 and just THIS week, fasting blood sugar is finally down to103 and the weightloss is becoming almost effortless. I've lost 83 lbs in 8 months (through sheer determination and effort) and still going. (Need to burn off 130) . I feel so good!! Something has finally shifted or broken through the sound barrier. I am guessing my liver is back to normal and insulin is finally ramping DOWN! Beware of MSG, sugar "free" products that really AREN'T sugar free and those pesky diet soda drinks (just too dang sweet!) I really enjoy ACV, water and a whole juiced lemon with 1 truvia. It's so good! Then eat the soaked lemon afterwards. ***Helps one eat less during meals*** I was afraid the closer I got to my weightloss goal, the harder or slower it would go... NOT the case! Hi, Dr. Ken. Thanks for all your guidance for eating LCHF. I'm a big fan of BPC. I make a strong pot of folgers each morning. And on my way to work, I fill one of my contigo travel mugs (the kind that clicks shut) with coffee and a heaping tablespoon each of butter and coconut oil. The contigo mug allows me to give the mix a good shake or two before each sip or swallow to keep it all fairly well blended. After that mug of BPC, I'm able to sail through the rest of my day until dinner, managing my hunger really well through the lunch time. If the flame of hunger starts to flare up, I douse it with lots and lots of water. This strategy really works for me. Again, thanks for all your information and insights. Scott VA

I've found that olive oil roasted pecans with salt is a great substitute for popcorn. For people who are super tempted at the theater, make up a batch of these, portion out an ounce and put it in a baggy in your pocket or purse or man bag or whatever, and pull it out at the theater. If your body allows it, you can lightly sprinkle some sugar free 'popcorn' topping on the pecans for some added flavor, but just keep in mind that the glutamate in that popcorn topper might tempt you to eat more than you need if you have a bunch of nuts. I don't personally care for popcorn, nor did I grow up eating at movies, but I know some people struggle really hard with this (some people I know struggle with this which is how I came up with the solution), so I wanted to share this here for anyone whom this might be useful. As an extra tip, you can dip the pecans in salted butter and it's so good. Cheers!!

Incredible BPC experience this morning: Normally I drink mu BPC in the morning and wait until lunch to eat. This morning, I had the coffee and then my husband made scrambled eggs for everyone. He really wanted me to eat with the family. I took my first bite and immediately my body said, I am full!" I could not eat those eggs. I felt like I had been at a buffet and tried to pack more in. I couldn't eat at all. That was proof to me that BPC really does work and it works very well!
@georgeorwell71496 жыл бұрын
Another trick would be 16:8 intermittent fasting and then at noon, drink the BPC which can hold you over for 3-4 hours and eat your first "meal" at 4 PM. What is promising is if you have BPC with stevia added, it might not even break the fasted state, so instead of fasting til 12PM, your body is fasting til 4 PM.

For like 11 bucks you can get a hamilton beach single serve blender. The bonus about it (and why I'm suggesting) is because I use mine for the coffee and a couple times a day I'll throw a few cubes of ice in, a handful or two of kale, some spinach, some parsley a little water and maybe some coconut milk yogurt (you can get that at reg. grocery stores), or maybe 3 or 4 grapes once in awhile, or some honeydew and blend it all up. Talk about a refreshing shake that will still keep you keto and is a super healthy way to get those vitamins. The cup on those is one where you have a sip lid so it's all in one too. Liked mine so much I bought a second one to keep at work - anytime people bring in donuts and all the other junk - I just make one of these smoothies and I'm good to go (just an fyi - if I use three or four grapes that smoothie is only like 25 cals)

An easy guideline for how much protein per meal is to envision a deck of playing cards - that will be an adequate amount. Some people try to imagine an amount that will fit in the palm of their hand. We ate keto for 1 1/2 years before bothering with a scale to measure grams/ounces and we had no trouble losing weight. We purchased the scale when we got into baking keto things.

I used to put a heaping teaspoon of sugar in my coffee. I just had to have two every morning. Now I put two tablespoons of good quality butter in a Mason jar with my coffee and a wire ball from a protein shake mixer. I gotta grab the Mason jar with a towel because it gets hot but a short shake and the coffee is great. No cream, no fake sweetner

The key to bullet proof coffee tasting good and not grossing out like I did, Blend well. Blend , blend, blend. the more you blend the better. Like a blender blend. :) it emulsifies the coffee so the fat doesn't just sit on top.

Dr. Berry, you are my keto info hero💕 My nephrologist told me to go on keto, ( I have fatty liver and fatty kidney) after he lost 37 lbs on it himself. He told me not to go to a nutritionist or Follow ADA or AHA diets because their Ideas do not work. I have lost 14 lbs in 3 weeks, 37 more to go, but I am psyched!!!!!! Thanks for all the info and you present it in such a hilarious manner; so funny,😂 Love the accent too. THANK YOU

Hello Dr. Berry, I discovered keto back in December when I literally stumbled over an Atkins book in the charity shop I volunteer in. I followed this by going on line to see what was there and, lo and behold, there you were ! Happy days ! You have been so informative and inspirational to me and I sometimes watch a video again and again for support. Can't find a local physician here in the UK who actually knows about keto and they look at me (Canadian) as though I'm from another planet. Poor fools them. They need to listen to both you (so down to the earth and sincere) and Dr. Malhotra, with a dose of fellow Canadian Jason Fung thrown in! Can't thank you enough 'DUDE' Diane Lister

What if the LAST thing I want is weight loss? Am 5'2", 85 lbs, 87 years old, a sleeping breast tumor (easily quelled for 59 years) broke open a year and a half ago to fungating when I became co-caregiver for my terminally ill son-in-law. Three months carnivore now, with fenben, seems to be halting progression. Adding IVM if the USPS ever delivers it. Meanwhile all web advice seems to be for obese people. Not my issue. But not completely disappearing on a carnivore diet IS. ❤

@@karenbuchert3377 Thanks. Seven months in on carnivore, I had to add a couple of low-oxalate, anti-tumorigenic vegetables because when I had added chicken livers to my fat-loading, all protein diet, I got GOUT for the first time in my 88 years. Maybe it was oxalate crystals spurred to somehow release, but the horrible effect is the same. Be forewarned. Meanwhile, thanks so much for the good wishes.💖

I’ve often wondered if the ADA/AHA diets were recommended to ensure their clientele & financial solvency. With a HgbA1C of 4, I was told I was T2NIDDM...& I decided to drop every food that increased my insulin response. I got literally yelled at for losing weight too quickly. (I didn’t know it was a thing) So I followed the ADA and I have never been fatter. Or sicker. I cannot remember a damn thing anymore. By HgbA1C is now 5.9. I offer up this personal information to help illustrate that the ADA diet SUCKS. I am trying this woe to save my life. I’ve got several health issues and I truly want to heal. Thank you doc, for all you do.

Hey man! I had to stop & say thank you for this video. This is my third attempt at keto. Once I was misinformed and super sick. Next I did great but got overwhelmed with information and had a weekend away with family. So I cheated. Now I’m missing how I felt. I just had my first positive ketone reading this morning! Thank you for making it simple & even funny! This last round I was not wanting to eat but one meal after a few days. It was hard to get in my calories or nutrients so I got nervous. How can I avoid the feeling I’m doing harm/get confidence in what I was doing? Any thoughts? Info: I’m 37 yrs old, biggest was 244, now 225. I have 4 kids & been either pregnant or nursing the last 6 1/2 years so I’m getting my body back!!

I would prefer not to hear derogatory comments like I have been reading here. We are all different and have different needs so it's just human nature to not click with every single doctor we come into contact with. I prefer to try and take the best suggestions for me as a person. I don't have to make somebody else be the bad guy if I don't follow a particular doctor. What I have found is no doctor has all the answers, but I am free to take the advice of many doctors and I don't have the need to put down other doctors if what they are advising doesn't fit with my personal beliefs. I prefer to be kinder and treat these doctors all with respect.
