How to Use Computer Keyboard as Piano | FL Studio WITHOUT MIDI Keyboard

Anyway of using the "typing keyboard to piano" feature, but with an actual midi keyboard, I'd like to be able to get the velocity straight from playing.

Hey Steven, no because a keyboard does not have the ability to track velocity, it's just an on/off switch. A MIDI Keyboard has velocity tracked triggers, which tracks how fast you press the note.. you can view my current MIDI Keyboard I'm using here: itsgratuitous.com/oxygenpro/

@@itsGratuiTous Thank you! I figured it out, I have scaler 2 and you can use a midi keyboard with that, tracks velocity, and can play any scale/key using just the white notes

@@itsGratuiTous I think I must not have conveyed my question well, what i wanted to do was use the feature that allows you to only play a certain scale no matter what key you press on your keyboard (typing keyboard to piano), but use that feature on my midi keyboard. I couldn't figure that out, so I used something called scaler 2, which also has that feature which allows you to just play a certain scale no matter what key you press but it works on my midi keyboard.

Man thanks for this, i've been using fl for so long and no where when i googled it or looked it up i could not find a way to use my pc keyboard to record, hell a actual prod said that it wasn't even possible which i found kinda weird.

Make sure you have an ASIO driver enabled on the F10 Settings -> Audio. And make sure your windows audio settings have an audio device selected. Learn much more FL Studio stuff @ itsGratuiTous.com

Bruh so if i play notes in my keyboard how do i get it stay in the pattern box. All im doing is playing notes i wanna place them down
