Dear Diogo, thanks for the detailed explanations, I learned now how to use new options. I love to use conditional formatting due to my job because I work for nine bosses in a law firm, so it facilitates my daily e mail flood. Thanks again , You have a new follower 🤗 Best regards from Germany and stay safe. 🙋🏼♀️ Sanja

Hi Diogo, is there a way to color-code the different email accounts?

If your color coded person in Outlook is blind CC'd on an email will it still show up as your color in Outlook?

Is there a way to conditionally format email where I am tagged in the body? The option "where I am in the To Line" is just too vague.

Is there a way to create a conditional formatting foroutlook calendar events based on the attendees' responses? (ie. Awaiting responses, all confirmed, conflict) etc
@diogoroldao-officetothepoi6104 жыл бұрын
Hi Alicia. Yes. This video is actually me instructing how you could do it 😊 these options I showed on screen were items that I created in advance for this video but you can create and configure using same technique as many as you want. 👍

@@diogoroldao-officetothepoi610 Will it color the calendar event too or just the email?
@diogoroldao-officetothepoi6104 жыл бұрын
Hi Alicia. I apologize that my previous answer was not clear enough. Yes, it's possible to configure conditional formatting on Calendar same way you did for emails. The process is exactly the same EXCEPT that you open the Conditional Formatting from the Calendar view and not from your inbox. So go to your calendar, then click on View up there, then on the left side click on View Settings, in this pop-up click on the Conditional Formatting button down there and follow same principals that I showed here on this video. Hope it was cleared now. Thx for your comments!

I like the idea of Conditional Formatting/color coding, however, I constantly toggle between 3 different emails throughout the day. When I set my formatting in one email then leave that email, when I come back the settings are gone. Is there a trick to saving the conditional formatting in each individual email?
@diogoroldao-officetothepoi6103 жыл бұрын
Hi Shellof2, thx for your message. would like to better understand your scenario. When you mean "toggle between 3 different emails throughout the day", you mean 3 computers? 3 mail clients? 3 Inboxes? If your case is "inboxes" then maybe a good idea would be to configure forwarding rules on 2 of them to be sent to only 1, then configure rules like "if the email was sent to xxx@xxx.xxx then add category xxx on it", in this way you can add "tags" to each email into same Inbox a d or e a le to differentiate them. You can also do the same but using conditional formatting. Think about the Inbox as "a place where the emails arrive", regardless of "from where they came". What I didn't understand was the "when I came back they are gone". Can you elaborate a little more? Thx!

@@diogoroldao-officetothepoi610 I continuously monitor 3 separate emails for 3 different people at my workplace. I have all three set up in Outlook that has been downloaded onto my computer. By toggling between them I mean jumping between them within the app on my computer. When I set up specific Conditional Formatting in each to alert when important emails come in from particular individuals it will work as long as I am in each specific email but, when I go into another inbox and then back the formatting does not hold. (e.g. coworker A has a list of people that she wishes to address immediately upon receipt of an email. I set up the conditional formatting and as long as I am in coworker A's email it works but, when I switch into coworker B's email then back to coworker A's the formatting is gone.) I hope this helps. It would really be a time-saver to have this work. Right now I must do a search for each specific email over and over to ensure that I am not missing one. Each coworker has their own list of important contacts that they must address immediately upon receipt. Appreciate your help!

Hello @@shellof2716, so if I understood, you have 3 different profiles on your Outlook and whenever you open it up, you choose which profile you want to see and there you go, a complete different Inbox per account. Is that correct? Your explanation was clear and I understand your problem, however this seems a new scenario for me. Please drop me an email to diogo @ officetothepoint.com and let's schedule a video call. I need to take a look on your Outlook to see what can be done.

Did you manage to make Conditional Formatting to work?
@shellof27163 жыл бұрын
It appears to be working as long as I don't log out and then back in. Once I log out I need to re-set the parameters again.
