How to use COULD in French. Should is the verb DEVOIR conjugated in conditional. It is an easy tense to use in French since the verb after is always going to be infinitive.

Both are correct, in every day life you would use "pouvoir" without conjugation. But "que vous pourriez" is not wrong.

I am so confused Dylane, we were using it already in present form peux, pouvons, pouvez, and peuvent. Now you say it is conditional and totally different conjugation pourrais etc. What are the differences between them, what is this? l got lost ha ha!

I can feel your confusion 😉 Let me try to explain you better. Imagine that Could / would and should are the endings of the French conjugation. - I could = Pouvoir + could = Je pourrais - I should = Devoir + could = Je devrais - I would like = AImer + would = J'aimerais For us it's a whole different tense, you should try to not compare the conjugation to the way you use it in English. English is so much simpler that it will confuse you more than anything 😕

I think I understand as an english speaker what you're saying.. I think that " peux tu" is "can you" while " pourrais tu" is "could you"

You can't say, 'to can' in English. It would be, 'to be able to' . You can only say, 'I can, you can,' or 'I am able to, you are able to...' but there is no such thing as, 'to can.'
