Yes i agree with the one and only downside is we become lethargic or less attentive on the road which can affect our braking response time, which in one way is very dangerous specially in Indian roads where vehicles and peoples are unpredictable.

please help in confirming in HTX IMT gearbox, will cruse control get de-activate if i change gear or not? SInce there is no manual clutch in IMT gearbox, so confused if cruise will still remain active or not

It will not be in active state

Obviously will be deactivated. Any mechanism through you want to change the pace of vehicle will deactivate the cruise control.. it is simple

One of my colleague Kia Sonet IMT HTX has recorded 15.4 kms/l on highway. Will it give 20 km/l if we activate cruise control on highway?

Yes I tested it, HTX IMT with cruise control goes beyond 21-23

i would say cruise control functionality goes hand in hand with the Automatic variant ..in manual its most useful on expressways/good highways where shifting of gears is less ..I have auto and i control speed (in cruise mode ) using up shift and downshift buttons on the steering ..Go for automatic cars and save ur cartilages and calf muscles
