Very nice project, but I would like to differ regarding the color code.... Blue and green for L/R, golden ground, red microphone.....and though these four pole 3.5 mm jacks are available online, they are too expensive, in local market here in Kolkata one costs roughly rupees 70 for the metallic body ones and rupees 30 for the plastic body ones. So I prefer to repair with the headphone pin itself, solder the four wires correctly(from bottom blue, green, golden,red for most and blue, green, red, golden for samsung) , then coat with mseal, let it dry, then cover with a heat shrink tube, it will last for a long span of time.

Can you tell how to check if the board inside the earbud is working or not... I have senheiser CX 275 s and i tried solding the wires inside the left speakers but it's not working.

If your speakers is faulty, then you can't repair it, if you wanted to check your speakers, you need multimeter or continuity tester, if you don't have both tools, then you have to swap your not working speaker to other side which is in working condition, if your speakers works in other side then your speaker is ok, problem inside wire, if your speaker not works that means speaker is faulty
