Which model evenheat do you use or which would you recommend for just a few at a time?

I bought the 24 inch. It really depends on what length blades you plan to make.

Question about the kiln, when you open the door does it decide to turn off the coils until closed again?

No coils stay one. You do loose heat from the door being opened.

I think he is wondering about a door kill-switch, @@DIYeasycrafts. So when the door opens, the power is shut off to the coils. So they are not live, when loading an unloading the oven. This type of kill-switch, has become very popular in ovens now.

I'm thinking of a oven myself and currently trying to figure out what I would want/need. You said it takes 10-15 minutes to warm up. Is this from room temp to say 1500 degrees? Also is yours 110 volt or 240? Any other input about a oven I would welcome. I'm currently using 1080 steel and a small forge to heat treat. Love your videos and channel. Very helpful. Warm up time is from rm temp up to 1950. My oven is 240v. I use to do mostly 1095 blades because that is what I could heat treat in my forge. No almost 100% AEBL stainless. Its really nice to make a quality blade and not have to worry about it rusting. Glad you like the videos. Please join out facebook group knives and knife making and show me some of your blades.

The ramp up speed; is that controlled in minutes? Could i have the oven ramp up to 900deg F in say 30 minutes? or does it not have the ability to control ramp up time?

You can control ramp time. I always ramp up at Full which takes 15 min or so to get to 1960 degrees
